From Douglas: The reset may not be over, though. The i Paper understands that City remain in the market for a right-back – tentative efforts to tempt Newcastle United to sell Tino Livramento have met with a resounding not-for-sale message from St James’ Park – and may replace senior first team players who they will listen to offers for.

Haven't got that far yet, I'll let you know.

Don't normally listen to it, but Pod on the Tyne did a good bit on transfers. Nothing particularly new, but... There's a lot of nonsense and false narratives around at the moment. Things will pick up end of June/beginning of July. Howe wants at least a couple in by the start of pre-season. Mbeumo was our main RW target, but it wasn't financially viable. The club feel the European market is currently just as inflated. Any talk of "budgets" is nonsense.

Nothing of interest.

Missing the football already. The summer transfer window is only bearable when supplemented by an international tournament.

N'Diaye really is a lovely footballer.

The local journalists are more less paid club mouthpieces. It's quite rare for them to break genuine transfer news. Before I get jumped on, that's not a criticism, just the way it has seemed for quite a while now.

They say it pretty much every transfer window, to be fair. The "Saudi tax" soundbites started in January 2022.

I can't access it anymore. I cancelled my subscription when they stopped offering it at a pound a month. I'm cheap rather than lazy!

They do charge a hefty subscription fee for their work mind.

That's why I asked.
