Sorry, Kiwis. The question you'll want to ask yourself is why we didn't pick him for 5 years during an entire World Cup qualification cycle - friendly or otherwise, and why he couldn't get off the bench for the Phoenix in the A-League (a standard of football that makes the MLS look like the Champions League) before he left.

No leverage. With things like the last Rugby World Cup and the Magic Weekend there's plenty of other stadiums around the country, so they'll happily let fatty die on that hill and miss out on the revenue. Ditto with concerts, I think Ed Sheeran and other big artists will manage to make do without St James Park. -
One on the far right definitely looks like the product of some zero-g NASA experiment gone wrong.

Seen Taylor out in town last couple of times i've gone back home to Wellington, actually a sound enough guy - even with the drunk degens who actually watch the Phoenix games constantly pestering him. . Judgement may be clouded by him shouting me and assorted company a round on my stag do though. He shouted you a round? "ONE FOSTERS, TWO CARLING AND A COORS." "Cheers Stevie lad." More a way of resolving the hostage situation of a bunch of drunk morons surrounding him near the bar when he was no doubt trying to focus on more important activities, such as engaging the local bird life. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/a-league/109931392/modeldating-welington-phoenix-defender-steven-taylor-whats-the-issue

Interesting, guessing it's due to his teens and early career coinciding with Keegan's and SBR teams (plus the Tino game against Barcelona).

He'll earn more in 6 months at Man Utd than he would in 6 years at Molde. Plus look at what the likes of Di Matteo and Grant were able to parlay extended caretaker stints at Chelsea into just by having it on their CV. Multiple top league jobs with multiple top league payouts on top. Worst case scenario is he makes his dosh, fails and goes back to Norway where he'll have multiple job offers. Should've just stuck with Mourinho and had him work for the payout, they weren't in freefall like his Chelsea ending, beating the teams below them still and if anyone is going to grind a fluke result against PSG, it would be him.

Optus (a mobile phone/broadband company) have the rights, so it's streaming only- either through the app or there crappy fetch boxes. SBS have the rights to 1 live game a week, plus the review show. Lol @ Ant and Dec buying the Premier League rights to Australia - they went for $50 mil last time.

Public succession planning happens quite frequently in sports, especially these days? Beats two years of rumour and innuendo and uncertainty for the clubs and players involved.

Shite tbh. Herp derp UAE slavery herp derp. That whole article felt forced, the whole Guardiola thing especially just felt like they accidentally copy and pasted a section from another article. Is it any secret that he is getting paid a shit tonne of money and that the deal was done well in advanced of him starting the job?

It's 2 wins each and a draw isn't it? He seems to have Pep handled better than most in the Premier League, and City aren't what they were last year.

That Schweinsteiger saga man The Hyypia situation is somehow even worse, I knew he wanted him, but the first time I've seen it detailed : Imagine going on TV and trying to defend yourself when those were your actions -
So simple, but that Roy Keane going to live on the farm frame has had me chuckling for 15 minutes.
-
That 4-3-3 was brilliant man. Martins doing the leg work and Owen/Viduka poaching. Just imagine where it could have went if Keegan was backed that summer Yeah, but, but, the game had passed him by, had no idea what he was doing, wanted to spend 200 million pounds on Beckham and Henry /s

The issue with the constructive dismissal thing is that Ashley will have been signing Rafas targets, the fat man is just starting at number 27 on his target list, not number 1. With Keegan, the case was based around the Gonzalez loan where he was signed without his knowledge behind his back and he was told to youtube him when he asked WTF.

It’s not baffling at all. He clearly can’t stand Rafa and wants him to walk, and is trying to make his position completely untenable to force the issue. He’s acting rationally and efficiently in pursuit of that preference. You the think the moron would've learnt his lesson after Keegan and just pay him to fuck off into the night. Guesses he's banking on Rafa to quit so he can spread the "he's just a softie who walked after I wouldn't let him spend an eleventy billion dollars" that a lot of morons fell for hook, line and sinker after Keegan left and gamble that he won't get spanked by a tribunal again.

Peter Drury is a horrible human being

Got to be at least 3 added minutes here

That 15 minutes after half time fucked England, they decided to go into cruise control when they could least afford to.
