I wish I had the skills to do that (photoshop, not the supporting a hate crime part)

Reminds me of us in 2015 tbh. Buy a bunch of young "wonderkids" with little to no seasoning and no cohesive plan, at prices that might have been impressive five seasons earlier but in reality are now on the cheaper end of the scale for top end talent.

Is it? In the NBA maybe due to the impact a single star can have, but in the other big leagues player power has never been weaker. NFL players contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on. The majority of the money is not guaranteed and all but a few QBs can be cut at any time with little to no penalty. Meanwhile Baseball owners are openly colluding to suppress the free agent market for anyone over the age of 27 and no one can stop them.

Dalglish already on the blower ordering the t-shirts in support of the lads doing the racism as we speak

Aston Villa vs. Newcastle United: 16/08/25 @ 12:30 (TNT Sport)

I was a big fan of the logic, but the Bundesliga and Serie A both start a week after the Premier League - so why would they restrict their windows to suit the English calendar? What they should've done is allow English clubs to both buy and sell with foreign clubs past the deadline (instead of just the latter). -
The only two young players of merit so far are Miley and Hall. Miley has had a bit of bad luck on the injury front, but despite the concern at the time, is anyone going to question the end result for Hall?
-
We selling Hall now as well?

Nagglesmann mostly played him as part of 2 up front, and also moved him out wide regularly. So naturally Brucie stuck him up front entirely on his own and had Dubravka pump long balls at his head for 90 minutes.
-
Looking up at what the movement out of the corner of his eye is? Are we actually giving two teams coming in the tunnel the Zapruder film treatment? Is Dalglish on the grassy knoll as the second bid?

Depends on what has changed - prior the buzz was all Arsenal, which Isak didn't seem fussed by, and is more of a sideways step (might be some Newcastle bias showing there though). The reporting which others in this thread have dug up from May was he was staying... which indicates the plan was to wait a 12 months, ball out in the Champions League and get the attention of a big fish next year. Liverpool coming in now changed that.
-
Oh, that I agree with. Which is why I've never bought into the "Isak had the Liverpool crest tattooed on his bicep the night after the League Cup and has been sabotaging us for months" narrative. Liverpool and his agent got into his ear at the start of July, no doubt promising riches, trophies and that a leaderless Newcastle would roll right on over once the pressure was applied.

I mean... that just looks like two captains being briefed by the referee before they head out.

There is truth to it - the club were the one who leaked it as part of their "Paul Mitchell was a useless bald twat" dossier. Does miss the context that Mitchell was stuffed into a bin and wheeled out to the curb, with the same stories also stated the club tried to rectify it, both before and after this little theatre became public.
