How the hell has Konchesky ended up at Liverpool. He's so average.

The criticism he gets is usually pretty warranted, he's largely anonymous in most of the games he plays. Yesterday was a rare game where he was actively involved for 90 minutes, if he can keep it up then great.

Aye, I was just thinking that last night actually. Shame twitchy was asking for stupid money over the summer. I'd take David Bentley aswell tbh, since they basically don't play him. Stupid money? we'd have probably accepted 5m. Anyway now that Corluka is in bad form, maybe he does have a future with us (ltough kaboul has also been very good since his return to the club). I remember an £8 million figure being bandied about at one point, maybe that was just media speculation or something. £5 million is probably about his value. I think he's good player, never seen him have a bad game. Although you could probably give me an example.

I never said he was useless, just a hinderance. We'd still be better with a mobile player in his position, however he had a very good game yesterday - one of his best in a Newcastle shirt in terms of allround game. Yesterday proved just how crap Smith is however.

The Martins "winner" at Wigan was pretty fantastic. Not a great goal, but a real powerful strike. What was the other this season? Barton against Villa surely warrants 'screamer' status.

Guthrie away at Portsmouth. The only one that springs to mind. Aye. Even that one went straight through James' hands. Just shows how crap we were that season though, there was like no memorable goals. Duff and Viduka's combination goal was probably our goal of the season.

Would be happier if 7 of Lech´s starters weren´t foreign, including three the defenders which explains why they only conceded 3 goals. Was a fun game in any case, Krivets has been really good since he came in january and was excellent tonight as well, could see him playing for a bigger club in the future. Aye I was gonna say, the star man was a Latvian rather than a Pole! Krivets is an FM legend, was annoyed when he went to Lech because he was always very cheap from BATE.

Fairly good player, but he is extremely slow releasing it at times and is not the most forward thinking, just watch how much he turns around and plays back, boils my p*as at times, could do with him in team for freekicks and spraying the ball around the pitch He definitely has his limitations, but he was our best midfielder last year. The signing of Routledge was good on an individual basis but more importantly it allowed Guthrie to move into the centre and Smith to drop to the bench. We never looked back from that point on. He's a good passer of the ball and does the simple things well, keeping us ticking over in the middle of the park. Atleast his role is actually defined rather than Smith who just offers nowt.
