    Messi

I doubt he cares less about whether he'd be able to cope in the Premier League. It's the same with that whole 'never scored against English teams' statistic that gets banded about on certain players (Messi and Zlatan for example). Outside of England I doubt anybody even realises these statistics exist. I mean, before last season's CL final when the English media repeatedly talked about Messi having never scored against an English team, did the Spanish media do a similar thing about the fact that Ronaldo had also never scored against a Spanish side?

    Nicky Butt

I never want to see us buy a player for 'experience' ever again. The idea the 'experience' is beneficial is a complete fallacy 95% of the time.

Without a f*cking doubt. No criticism is too harsh for him.

I was about to comment on that Oldham link, however I assumed it was a joke about Butt basically being Scholes. Because to be honest they're pretty much the same

    Messi

I'm sorry but there is absolutely no intent in that Maicon incident. He's looking the other way as he jumps and his shoulder collides with Maicon. If that was intentional then Messi has done very well to disguise it as an accident.

    Messi

Was going to ask you about Keita actually. He was very good towards the start of the season when he was scoring goals and imputting - his energy and work rate are good attributes however he seems to have got progressively worse over the course of the season. His ball retention is poor and he has no creative edge. That game today made his inefficiencies stand out I thought.

Sneijder has been absolutely class all season. People talk about the Eto'o/Ibra swap all the time when really the thing that made the difference for Inter was they were given the funds to go out and get Sneijder, who has made the difference.

Played poorly away to Stuttgart and Arsenal aswell, we know how the return legs ended up.
  9. His injury is a sickener, there would have been lots of oppurtunities to ease him into first team action in this division. We wont have that chance next season really.
  10. Still think Barca at home will have this tie. Fully fit, home surface and with the wind behind their sails they should score enough to turn it around - they did win 2-0 and dominated Inter from start to finish in the group stage game.
  11. Come on somebody with a bit of skill, make this!
  12. I went to see Hearts v Aberdeen towards the end of last season and it was actually a very entertaining game, fantastic atmosphere aswell. I do agree with general premise though, Scottish football being a joke and all.
  13. He's a fan of Manchester United on Facebook! Oh noes.
  14. Routledge? Guthrie? Barton? Enrique? even Nolan can against that side I could imagine. Not the extent Jonas does, we look pedestrian at the best of times but without his stamina and retention of the ball we tend to struggle.
  15. Jonas man, wonder why he didn't travel? We have nobody in that line-up who can carry the ball.
  16. Just too much scope for it to go wrong imo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_%28disambiguation%29 Agreed, fucking shitter if they ended up in Montserrat's abandoned capital.
  17. This season has been one of the most enjoyabe in years, and I'm more confident that we now have lots of big earners off the books and can start fresh with a sensible transfer policy next season. Relegation was absolutely heartbreaking and humuliating, but it's had it's benefits, and I'm over it now tbh.

    Fraser Forster

Aye, I went to school with Jak up until last year, he was absolutely class everytime I've seen him. Very highly rated within the club aswell apparently.

  20. McClaren's Twente on the verge of the Dutch title now, they need a win on the last game of the season to guarentee being champions. Incredible difference in goals scored and goal difference between the top 2 though: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u242/supersewelly/twente.jpg
  21. Great cross and header, would love Samp to get Champs League.
  22. Senderos is on a free right? Hmm, can deliver a clanger at any moment but he's got the credentials I guess. 30 international caps or so and played alot of football for Arsenal when he was younger, any idea how he has done for Everton?

    Hall

Damn, I've never seen that mentioned on here. It was absolutely sensational. Full elastico and left the Derby defender in a heap if I remember correctly.
