179/209 Liverpool 197/209 Arsenal
-
my local nonleaguers, expecting a decent crowd today I think, 250ish. Still the weirdest game I've ever been to there. Heaton Stannington vs Gabon U23
-
10 including cup goals. Scored last minute equaliser against Chelsea in the quarters and set up the winner. Scored against Man U in the semis and then against City in the final. Scored in both derbies home and away. Anyway, stats are hardly the point. Gouffran is a footballing ghost. Borini might not be the most gifted but runs all day and was a great performer for them.
-
He was great for them though. Carried them to a cup final, won the derbies and kept them up. Gouffran is an absolutely talentless shitcunt.
-
Actually embarrassing how shit Rooney was last night. Incredible Man Utd haven't replaced him.
-
Gouffran better than Borini is a truly woeful opinion

legs on the line-up graphic not a good change

"When I see Gaby Obertan in training and some games he's a terrific talent. He's so quick and so strong."

how have I never seen this??

Nah seriously he's not anywhere near the player he was 2-3 years ago. It's been a steep decline towards clogger that just shoots from miles out.

A bit early to say tbh. Well, I presume this was based on what they showed in Holland, which was more impressive from Clasie as far as I am concerned.. I for one am stunned the Feyenoord fan prefers the Feyenoord player over the Ajax one

He's extremely limited. Arsenal needed somebody like that, but they could have done with somebody who can do that and also play football. -

Arsenal would be better off without Coquelin and having somebody who doesn't treat the ball like a bomb. Matic is a great midfielder, although he doesn't contribute goals and assists. Aside from that, they are both one player alongside far more progressive ones. Colback and Anita are a combination of two who do nowt nor something. Regardless, this is simply making the most of our resources. Playing Wijnaldum as a 10 with Colback and Anita behind him, but with De Jong, Perez and Cabella all sitting on the bench is not the best use of resources. -

In the formation/style we are playing we mainly need our CM's to be good at ball winning, keeping posession and maintaining their positioning. Colback and Anita do this better than anyone else in the squad* so they are the best for the job. * Gini could possibly move back, but why move him from his best position. Nah, I'm not having this like. In any system you need your midfield to be robust, dictate the tempo of a game and be able to pass/bring the ball forward when the opportunity arises. In an ideal world they should also chip in with goals and assists. Colback and Anita don't do any of this particularly well. Why move Wijnaldum back? Because he's probably our most dynamic and talented midfielder. I'd rather have him at the heart of things. Not to mention the fact we have Perez, De Jong, Aarons (and Cabella if he has any future) who can play further forward. Colback and Anita as a midfield is a major problem if we ever want to be pushing towards the top end of the table. Probably the biggest one at the moment after our lack of a commanding presence at the back. -
Didn't look much cop when he played last season and nowt special at Chelsea. Thrived playing in Liverpool's attacking system with Sterling and of course Suarez. I think he's a very good player, but he's not world class.
