  1. Well it's also to do with the fact they got old.
  2. Regardless, he's still too high at 8th. Cantona is built up into this almost mythical figure by the Sky hype machine because he strutted around, drop kicked a fan, and acted cool/aloof in interviews despite the fact he was starring in the 7th best league in Europe at the time.
  3. One thing these lists never take into account is the standard of the league in the 1990s. It wasn't good. England was ranked 7th in the coefficients in 1996 and even 1999 still only 6th. The European ban took a long time for English clubs to get over. This is why the likes of Cantona (and unfortunately our squad in that era) have to be looked through this spectrum IMO. Cantona is has built up with this ridiculous mystique by Man Utd fans despite the fact they routinely did shite in Europe.
  4. Not many Ballon D'or winners on there. 2 I think? Although tbf Henry probably should have got one.
  5. Ibrahimovic needs 8 more goals to be their all-time record scorer. Massive club PSG.
  6. Daft thing is its not even called the SPL anymore
  7. Injuries have fucked em. Chelsea have had pretty much their entire squad fit all season until Costa started getting some knocks. Arsenal had mix and match teams at the start when they dropped points.
  8. Fine Young Drinkers, I think its just a few mates who are Toon fans
  9. Who let ahl these nutters through the net??
  10. Want the cunt floating down the Thames
  11. Sick to fucking christ of football
  12. Think you do it as a night class these days
  13. Getting abuse on Twitter cos I said he wasn't fit to lace Viana's boots
  14. People saying its not a big deal or missing the point. It's only a little thing but it is a microcosm that defines the current state of the club. Thats a player thats been with the club a decade, one of our most senior and symbolic characters, congratulating the opposing striker for banging one past him in a fucking derby. It's ludicrous.
  15. I've always thought he was one of the few that could be pinned on as being committed to the club, a player who came through with us and felt like a long term figure despite his recent poor form the last season or so. But that today was a fucking disgraceful act, and really shows the mentality that is inherent throughout the entire club. There really is nothing redeemable left.

    Sammy Ameobi

I'm stunned he's shit like, Cronky had him billed as George Weah mark II
  17. Was just saying this to the old man today, Ashley wouldn't last 5 minutes at a Turkish, Serbian or even Italian club. They'd have his house torched and his family kidnapped and that'd be that. The way the beautiful game was intended.
  18. I'm away jaunting around Eastern Europe I'm afraid
  19. I just think Robben was a more exciting player at that age, I find Hazard a bit functional in comparison to when Robben burst on to the scene. I'm not saying Hazard's not a very good player but it's just my personal preference in players I suppose. Nah I do understand where you're coming from.
  20. I'd say they're quite comparable. I think Sterling does a good job in any attacking position whereas Coutinho isn't much cop outside of the #10 spot. He really struggled for Brazil the other day out wide.
