  1. We're not even that bad like The fouling was tit for tat first half, ref got a good few of ours wrong including Joelinton's yellow card. Arsenal were easily as guilty as us of momentum-breaking fouls. Some of our players do sometimes have a little sit down when they're feeling a bit delicate, unfortunately that breaks the other team's momentum a bit sometimes but it's a stressful sport. Need a sit down sometimes, innit.
  2. Idea for the NUFC club shop: Top 6 Tears (available in 500ml Premier League trophy-shaped bottles). Bitter yet delicious, sourced via the latest shithousing technology. Available while stocks last. Please drink responsibly.
  3. Fantastic performance, good result. Agree with Howe we could have been better with the ball today but Arsenal make that difficult. Murphy and Wood cannot be our options off the bench going forward. That needs sorted, and we need an upgrade on Longstaff for the first team.
  4. Won't that make him the 3rd most expensive player ever?
  5. Because they already have way more money than they could ever spend?
  6. if he doesn't feel he has earnt the right to put football before money at this stage then it's really quite pathetic imo. He's already worth about half a billion dollars (Google).
  7. A good point, shows our progress. Tbf to Leeds though they matched us first half yesterday imo, I was fairly impressed. Our 2nd half dominance was probably a combination of us pushing for the win and them prioritising not leaving with nowt, but first half I did think Leeds tried to have a go.
  8. It annoys the fuck out of me like. Chelsea started all of this crazy spending when the Russian came in, largely kept at it, made a mockery of the loan system, got bailed out (again) and now they're hoovering up players we might want at way above the going rate. Not once have they had to face the consequences of their spending, other than the transfer ban when they already had a world class squad sitting there.
  9. Jesus, 72 points in 36 games. Assuming a win and a draw in an additional 2 that would be 76 over 38 games. Just checked and 76 points was enough to win the fucking league ffs in 6 of the 27 seasons (22%) since the PL became a 20 team league
  10. Guardiola is a classy operator. Arteta can piss off after his utterly moronic Bruce comments.
  11. That is the most spectacular OG brace I've ever seen
  12. Really sad news. When I was a kid there were regular debates in the media about who the best of all time was between him and Maradona, and the consensus was that Pele was better and for longer. By all accounts an absolute trailblazer and a great human being, who knows what the game would have been like without him. RIP.
  13. Given spoke to the press about 4 or 5 transfer windows in a row, rightly saying the squad needed strengthening if we were to progress. It fell on deaf ears and he eventually got fed up with it. Never blamed him for leaving whatsoever, he was saying what we were all thinking.
  14. Just shows how many fans hear/see a lazy soundbite on Talksport/Sky/The Sun/whatever, think "That'll do" then spout it as their own very loud opinion.
  15. Cheers Eddie, sent these to family earlier this month and would have looked a right mug if we got smashed today

    Dele Alli

Him and Eric Dier always seemed canny on Gogglebox. I think some people reach a point where they're pretty content with their lot and have achieved more than they set out to achieve, especially if their youth was very humble and/or challenging. If you take your foot off the gas at an elite level then you'll go downhill quickly. Agree there could also be stuff come out about his mental health or that he's fallen out of love with the game. I do think it's a shame as he was a silky, effective player who was fun to watch, and his decline has been drastic.
  17. This is definitely your least funny recurring gag.
  18. Aye noticed this Re the atmosphere I was near the back of the Gallowgate and there were plenty trying to get songs going back there but mostly they didn't take off much. Was a few bursts where the crowd were a bit radge/loud, but very flat overall. Agree it was probs down to a lot of kids and the action on the pitch not being particularly inspiring. What @Kid Icarus said about people being embarrassed to join in too much is probably the case, I used to be a bit like this until I went to more away games where you're singing for 90 minutes, so I do generally join in with quite a bit at home as well now. No real solution to the issue, cup games will always be a different crowd.
  19. League Cup final is on my 39th birthday. Bruno #39. Bruno's getting the winner in the final.
  20. Looks pure happy as Larry being home in the team shot
  21. same here, massively. And all 3 categories went down to the wire on the last day.
