No difference to any other game. Man Utd will finish above both us and Everton so I'd rather old Purple Nose had taken the points. I'm just saying I'm not really concerned about any results other than our own at this stage of the season - Spurs could win at Everton, we could beat Man Utd at home again, whatever. 37 games left yet. Same goes for Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool getting beat, I'm not really fussed either way at this point.

Villa's youth team is one of the best around though, isn't it? Bit of a difference in that case, not that I'm saying the situation looks ideal.

I rate Lambert fairly highly so can't see them being as far down as they were last year. Could do with a few players in though, I'd be a bit concerned about Lerner not putting much money in if I was a Villa fan, understandable though it is considering some of the pure bilge signings he sanctioned under O'Neill.

Villa could quite easily turn it around with 2 or 3 vaguely ambitious signings. Well top 10 anyway. If there are money issues between Liverpool and Newcastle that prove too prohibitive then I can't see Carroll wanting to sit on the bench for another 6 months. Villa would probably be about as good as he could do in that case.
