Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition

I'm really not botherd about the 2022 bid to be honest, I'm more concerned about us getting 2018, though if I could choose the 2 winners, it would be US and Australia. -
I don't think that their is a better defender out there that would come to us, who A. Isn't nearly passed it like Campbel is. B. Would play for us for less money than Taylor. C. Would be as loyal to us as Taylor would be. Not only that but I'd rather us spend however amount of money it would take to bring in someone as a replacement on other areas. Taylor isn't the finished article yet, I still think he has more in his locker.

I'm not happy because this world cup could bring job to the North East. Most of us all know that we need more jobs in the region and this world cup could have helped us. If SJP and SOL both hosted event then every single hotel and B&B in Tyne and Wear could have been sold out, plus all the money they would spend in our shops, the passenger figures for our airport, attracting new destinations and new business's etc. Even NUFC would have gained from it, with ticket sales, and also a few fans buying club merchandise while they come over and we could have gained more foreign fans. I couldn't give a shit about the World Cup if we did get it and we didn't have atleast one host stadium on our doorstep (SJP preferably), but when all of us here have a chance of getting our region off the gorund even if it is for a month or so, then I care and the BBC along with the Daily Mail could well and truely have fucked that up for us. -
Anyone think he has a realistic chance of scoring more then Shearer did for us? How many has he got for us already?
-
In theory yes, however today showed that referee's are not even prepared to book players for diving, Drogba and Cole come to mind. I could imagine the referee's actually giving a lot more freekicks and penalties in order not to send someone off for diving.

An excellent point for us, now we have to take it into West Brom game. Krul 8 Jose 8 Campbell 8 Taylor 7.5 Simpson 7 Jonas 7.5 Tiote 8 Guthrie 7 Routledge 7.5 Carroll 8 Ameobi 6 Sol and Tiote were the main men for me, Jose done well to defend aswell and had more to do than Simpson did. Jonas was great and tried to get the ball going forward however towards the end you could see that he was tired. Routledge did well but I got frustrated that he took too long in crossing the ball, but that could have been down to noone beng in the box.

Don't forget Liverpool now they are back in the top half.
-
It looks like the local Boro Coke dealer has decided to hide his stach somewhere where noone goes and will ever find it, The Riverside.
-
I can see this game going ahead and us getting hammered, or us winning and a bliszard hits during the game focing it to be abandoned. Fuck I sound like Grumpy Cunt.
-
The first sentence contradicts the second one. If you are genuine about the first one, the second one should read "I really hope we lose by at least three goals tomorrow without scoring" I meant I hope we get something from the game, getting a point is gaining something from that game.
-
Whats up with Lovenkrands?, would be good to have as an option, or how about Ranger on the right? Anyway, I really hope we come away with something tomorrow, a point will do for me.
-
Some decent results for us today, it gives us a chance to pull some points clear of the bottom 3 before Xmas. A point tomorrow would do us well.

The fact that those of us who live in Tyne and Wear should be no more than a few miles of 2 venues if we win the bid is a great factor. Not only that but I'd rather Newcastle and Sunderland (well Newcastle twice over) gains money through tourists coming here rather than Madrid or Barcelona. It would be a massive boost to the local economy and could help create much needed jobs here. For the sake of the North East I hope England wins the big, and both SJP and the SOL are venues. I understand those of you you are on here but not from here may not be too concerned about that, but for us who live here I think we should all be botherd. -

Imagine it being in convict land. They'd have England playing Sunday, Tuesday, Friday in Sydney, Perth and then Brisbane Except that the venues and dates are pre-drawn without any teams. -
Fuck that, I hope us and them never have to meet again, by that I mean they fuck off into nothingness and we stay Premiership quality. I don't want anymore violence from meeting them.

I was never a fan of it because I knew they couldn't ever gain control of the club, and I knew that they knew it aswell. It was always just a con, yes a few people might have believed it at first, but they have shown that they are just like armchair fans. They always know whats right and won't listen to other supporters, if they stick their hands over their ears and shout "La la la, I'm not listening" for long enough then they tend to believe their own crap as fact. That is why supporters should never own their football club, yes they should have say and be consulted, but they should never ever be the ones to make the decisions. Oh and btw, what kind of twat believes a bunch of guys who drink in an Irish social club could at any point be successfull in running a multi millions pound business?

I'm more concerned about England getting 2018, but also I'd like to see Australia get 2022, America wouldn't be a bad choice either, but America has hosted one not so long ago. -

How does the voting system work? I thought every country has a vote. -

Aye, looks like it's messed up for us now. I'm assuming Europien members can't vote for 2018 then. So that means we are relying on North America, Asia, and Oceania. -
Number 64 at home would be great.
-
South America are now involved in a "We vote for Spain and Portugal" shocker. As if they were going to vote for anyone else.
-
I knew they would from the start. What would be the difference between Ashley running the club and not consulting with the fans and theseguys running the club and not consulting the fans? I tell you what, people would hvae paid their pension, remortgaged their home, and even their savings in getting these guys in.
-
I think he'd work well just off Carrol.
-
Keane on loan, and then a attacking midfielder.
-
The problem will still be Drogba, Anelka, and Malouda.
