Not by much. Jol had them 5th every year and almost in the Champions League and the fans wanted him out for not taking them further, their squad has improved big time since them while Liverpool have gone backwards to the point where Hodgson would happily swap. This, Spurs were shit before Jol, they were a team like Boro ta the time. Why they ever got rid of Jo I'll never know. Redknapp is nothing special, and I think Spurs would be a better team if Jol had stayed, I think he could have got Spurs into the top 4 before Redknapp did.

I still think he should play for Scotland just to piss the media off even more.

This will be a tough game but I can't see why it wouldn't be winnable. Blackburn are a team that only counter attack both home and away and the way we play means we shouldn't be giving them too many opportunities to do that. A big plus in our favour is the fact that our crosses, especially from Barton are so accurate, and they drop at the last minute meaning that in most cases the Blackburn players shouldn't even be able to get to the ball, nevermind having the power to out power us. Another plus is the fact that we can keep the ball on the ground, I've yet to see Blackburn do that or even have posession in midfield in any game they have played this season for any real length of time. There isn't any reason why we shouldn't win this game or the Fulham game if we arn't at our best. Now that I have said that, I'm off to the bookies to get the best odds I can get for a Blackburn win.

The fact that this thread has shown that Adam Johnson is infact a Newcastle fan and not a Mackem is great, it means that I can now start to like him. Other then that, no I don't like City.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need to get to the 20-25 points mark as fast as possible. A win on Wednesday would put us on 20 points. From then we in my mind would need another 18 points for safety, which is 5 wins and 3 draws, pretty realistic.
