  1. Just a media ploy by him, managers and players do it the time, use a team like sunderland who are interested, he says he's flatterd, some bigger club has a look, doesn't want to miss out and comes calling and sunderland sit their twiddling their thumbs. The same thing happend at Newcastle all the time, Rooney, Ronaldo (striker), Ronadlinho, and other managers.
  2. I don't think so because we don't owe any third party, such as a bank, any money. Ashley has financed the club with his own money so we're safe from administration if that's what you mean. And we are still a very viable business for someone with just a little bit more nous than Mike f***ing Ashley. Erm, I think the whole gist of the the thread is that actually we owe Barclays quite a lot of money. Really, I thought the only bank we would be dealing with would be Northern Rock, hmmmm, and didn't Ashley transfer alot of the debt that he couldn't pay off onto Sports Direct, so we only owe them money.
  3. Sounds like it is already under control and they are just hopeing to put it under even more control, something which every club will be doing right now.

    RIP sale thread.

A broadsheet wouldn't be making up direct quotes man. In my short time on this world, I have came to relise that too often the media and loads of other people take quotes out of context, and also they have a habit of refering to quotes from the past and use it when it suites them.

    RIP sale thread.

Sounds like more media bull to me. I mean, they have gone a few days without rubbing it in our faces, and now want to do it again, so they tell stories again. One big cheer for the media. Yes of course he will want out at some time, but I think it's still all media bull at the moment.
  6. I love the first one, it's by Adidas aswell, why didn't you give it to us?
  7. The more I look at that Bolton top, the more I hate it. It looks like they are wearing it the wrong way around, I wounder how much the betting is that the stripes on the back go all the way up.
  8. Rangers win the Scottish Cup, a great first half, 2nd was okay, the goal killed it off, but what a goal it was. Much better then what the English final was by reading this thread.
  9. Told you, it's been a pretty good game aswell. Tackle on the goal keeper which allowed to go on an earned a corner, their is some good fotball and refereeing being done in this game.
  10. WHAT A GOAL, WHAT A GOAL, Novo came on for Boyd who refused to play in the 2nd half because it's too hot scored an amzaing goal with 20 seconds of the 2nd half.
  11. I'm watching the Scottish FA Cup final right now, and you know what, it's great. I'm watching a game where contact is being made, tackles are going in, players are being pressured off the ball, going down to legal tackles and challenges, and it's all being allowed, so different to the game we now see in England. It's great to see real football being played. Both teams are going at it aswell.
  12. Yeah, he should just go, but obviously he's not going to, I mean if you were on £120,000 a week, and had 4 weeks left on your contract but no work to do, would you give it up?
  13. Me too, looks to be more of an interesting game.
  14. Just stay with us, theirs no reason that you can't support Swansea as your 2nd team, it just means when it comes to Newcastle vs Swansea, you want us to win just, but on an ideal day when we don't meet, you want both teams to win, nowt wrong with you wanting Newcastle to finish top, Swansea second, and hoping both Cardiff and Sunderland get relegated with no points.
  15. Andy Gray, can this c#nt go any further up the top 4's ass? I mean have you seen how he starts to love any team in the top 4, should of seen the praise he had for Villa, then as soon as they dropped out they had lost it, same with Chelsea, he didn't give damn about them untill the Russain came along. He can't praise anyone below the top 4, and can't stop praiseing them if their in the top 4. And his damn clicky board, if he's soo good at pointing that stuff out etc, then why did he fail when he was a manager, why after so long of being at Sky has no one came along and said you can have the job, and I thought this before Mowbray did.
  16. I knew that as son a Stachan left Celtic, he would head straight for Sunderland, and I still think it, I would put a bet on it but I doubt the odds are very good now. I laughed when I saw that Rijaard is on their list, noway in hell is he going to go their, he turned down us and Chelsea. I'm assuming the next name to be mentioned will be Alex Ferguson.
  17. Boyd Scotland Diamond Emnes Upson
  18. I assume that hey couldn't bare it to have a pop at their beloved Man Utd about losing the Champions League final, so looked back at us, It will be Leeds not getting promoted again when they have ran out of things to say in a couple of weeks time.
  19. Can I add 11. We don't have to play Bolton in that horrid kit for atleast a year (unless we get them in the cup)? 12. No matter what, we are almost garunteed a place in the "NEW" Premiership including Celtic and Rangers in anyway?
  20. Lmfao, my mam is down stairs watching ssn, I've told their is no point as nothing will be said untill atleast 4pm.
  21. No We will enter the League Cup at the 1st round.
  22. I know how you feel, I was on another forum (non fooball-with a small football section), when one of them popped up to say I feel like Newcastle. To which I responded and said relegation is much worse, to which another replied saying how would you know? the interto cup isn't exactly like the champions league final. I responded by saying, how about the FA Cup?, and atleast Man Utd will wake up tommorrow and still be in the Premiership, and havn't had a season where they have lost nearly every game. Tonight was a one off, we had to lose loads of times this season to be where we are. P.S. We actually won the Intertoto Cup.
  23. As it's difficult to make money out of a football club, I can't see Richard Branson entering the sport any time soon. He'd want to come in and be the best and most innovative, and given the level of investment that would require he'd be on until the day he dies. Only time I could possibly see him entering the game is if Clubs are allowed to negotiate their own TV deals, given he has the ideal platform to enter from. And to be honest, if he did come in and buy us we'd become even more of a laughing stock than we already are. Not only would we have virgin emblazoned across the top, I'm pretty sure he'd rename the ground as well. Virgin Park, the only stadium thats full of non virgins?
  24. Guy on the wall: "Mike someone want to buy the club" LM: looks in a are you seriouse type of way Guy on the wall: "They want to know how much you will sell up for" Ashley: "I don't know, whatever"
