  1. Seemed like we used to come out after half term to Kurt Angle's entrance music for a good while when I was younger too.
  2. Can we try him at left back? Can't be any worse than Rose is there or he is up front.
  3. Luque wasn’t shit. Got an awful injury in one of his first games for us and lost a yard or two of pace sadly. That and he never really wanted to leave Deportivo. Remember thinking he was a great signing after his first(?) game for us against Man U. But after that injury, he just never looked anything like good enough.
  4. Jesus we've had some shite players. Moore, Bramble and Boumsong at centre back, Chopra and Luque up front
  5. Not sure why they'd take Murphy off, clearly their best player
  6. He hasn't put his teeth away since, bless him. Can't help but be happy for the Longstaffs.
  7. Man U struggling to make 5 yard passes in way I though only Newcastle players could.
  8. West Ham away has gone on general sale. A good idea of how far we’ve fallen, London away games always seemed to be sold out quickly and hardly ever went beyond season ticket holders. Used to take me 5 hours each way to get to as many home games as possible. Now I can’t even justify watching this shell of a club when they’re half an hour away.
  9. That goal is more Dummett's fault than their third, just let him wander in behind him.
  10. The worst thing is, this is still significantly better than how we played against Brighton last week.
  11. Quality finish, but absolutely no one near him for far too long.
  12. I wonder how much of our possession has actually just been Dubs holding it for a few seconds, seems to be the only way we keep the ball for any length of time.
  13. The fans there can't be bothered to break the cycle of going, did you expect more?
  14. How the hell is this 0-0. not only are we be absolutely shite, we're doing it at walking pace.
  15. Loving Brucies front foot attacking football, like watching Brazil so far.
  16. Aye, but they painted the walls
  17. Roma v AC Milan. Stadium was half empty and isn’t great, this was just after a couple of English fans had been stabbed in Italy too, so felt a bit dodgy. Saw Red Star Belgrade win the league title at home. Fans were crazy, setting off flares and fireworks throughout the game. Although they spent more time protesting against Kosovo than celebrating winning the league. Saw Albania v Lichtenstein in Elbasan, which is an absolute hole (although it claims to be twinned with Newcastle), missing the last bus back and somehow got invited to a wedding that evening. One of the ultra groups, instead of watching from the stadium, were all on a couple of balconies in an apartment block overlooking the ground and were setting off fireworks and flares from there. Saw a couple of Albanian teams too, saw KF Tirana play Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League, was probably more police there than fans, but the posh seats were only €10 so couldn’t complain. . Went to see an Albanian third division match, which was shockingly bad quality, but a good laugh, at one point a fan went and tripped over the away team’s winger, to which the reply was a slap from the police and sent back to his ‘seat’. Also saw Sheffield Wednesday getting promoted to the championship against Wycombe (I think) making me one of the few Geordies to ever see Nile Ranger score Saw the England games at SJP, can remember Robbie Fowler scoring (a header I think?). Went to nearly all the Olympic Games at SJP as well, was great to see the stadium without any Sports Direct signs, was slightly ruined when Brazil played there the annoying mackem child behind me constantly shouting ‘Neymar’. Also saw one of the Olympic semi-finals at Wembley , saw part of the triathlon earlier in the day too, which was probably better than the football to be honest. Given the money I’m saving this year by not having a season ticket/travelling up to Newcastle for the home games/ the expense of the away games in London. I’m hoping to add a lot more this year. So I’ll be very much using this thread for ideas
