No offence but that sounds like a load of s****. I know - straws being clutched at. he seemed quite sincere about it. oh well, we can still live in hope. I'm just desperate to believe there is a buyer out there. Interesting....Their CEO owning the Dallas Stars is decently relevant. Hope he's partnering with Jerry Jones Whoa!! wait ... Who owns Sandman hotels? Tom Gaglardi ?? Tom is the CEO or something. He's also owner of the Dallas Stars. However, his dad, Bob, is the one with money. Worth just under $2 billion Canadian. Which is roughly equivalent to chicken feed and dirt. All of this is irrelevant anyway because the story is made up.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Postecoglu told to rack off by Spurs
LucaAltieri replied to cp40's topic in Football
Complete coincidence, of course. -
What a name They're real. And also Canadian. Sounds like a logical progression: 1) Own 27 hotels in British Columbia. 2) Buy a British football club. 3) Profit. Let me just fly to Dubai to confirm.

They're both loans with a view to a permanent deal. We're trying them out first to see if they're a good fit. We did the same thing with Ben Arfa & Stephen Ireland. It means nowt. We won't sign either of them though You seem very confident given that you can't possibly know that.

No one knows anything. It's rampant speculation ranging from "honourable Joe falls on his sword," to the even more ludicrous "Mike sacks Joe for doing exactly what he wanted him to do," conspiracy theory.
-
Likewise. I'd appoint James or Neesy before Kinnear.
-
I'm pretty sure he really did have the power to sign players, hence us not getting anyone signed once he took over those duties. Even if we're notoriously slow in the transfer market normally, signings did seem to dry up more once he became DoF. It implies to me he really was in charge of all that.
-
Is no one really considering the option that maybe he really did resign (rather than being sacked) because he feels he didn't get the job done? "Judge me on my signings." It's a thought.
-
Replaced by De Fanti, perhaps?
-
Resigned. Still never been sacked...
-
He'll go the way of Laurent Robert - we'll get some good goals out of him but his attitude means we'll see him fall away when he does leave.
-
You mean Pardew said he wasn't ready to play and was absolutely correct? Who'd have thought it?

Eventually it reaches a point where you take a decision he won't turn it around and you try to get rid of a player. I wouldn't in the slightest bit bothered about selling him because he offers the sum total of sweet fuck all at the moment and for this entire season and he can't keep getting away with the logic of keeping him because he had a good 6 months when theres a diabolical 18 months that show his major faults as a player. And he can't hide behind oh but we're not creating chances blah blah blah because we have been creating chances this season, other players have been scoring goals why can't he? But it's not just a good 6 months vs. a crap 18 months. He's scored goals everywhere, his entire career. Including here. He lost confidence and has struggled since. Statistically this is the worst form he's been in, as far as I can tell. I don't know what it will take to turn it around. But I believe he's potentially much more valuable to us over the next 3 years than flogging him on the cheap and starting from scratch with another, cut price, gamble. He didn't just stop being a good footballer overnight, despite what his current situation might suggest.
-
There's absolutely no reason to sell Cisse. If we were going to replace him we'd be looking for a player exactly like him. Someone young enough for their value to rise, has proven he can score goals everywhere he's been, but has for one reason or another lost confidence/form and therefore represents value for money. Why bother looking for another one? Just keep trying to turn it around with the player we already have.

There's no way in hell we should be starting de Jong against the mackems. Maybe a cameo from the bench. But as it stands he's had no time whatsoever to get to know his teammates, get his fitness up, or get his confidence back. Dropping him into a derby game with a team he's never played with, in a league he's never played in, with all the expectation that you're already putting on him... it would be madness.

thiiiis i love it, personally. I don't even think much of him as a manager anymore, but I like that he doesn't give a shit about contradicting himself or saying ridiculous shit, because absolutely every single time, the purpose of his comments is to divert attention away from his players getting criticism. Jolly good show. It amazes me after all these years people still don't get it. "He's a hypocrite!" "He's arrogant!" "He's a cunt!" HE'S PLAYING YOU!

Ridiculous, isn't it? Precisely my point.
