  1. This'll likely be his last job in the Premier League for a while. Needs to take the payoff.
  2. The Scandinavians have really come into their own since the internet age like. Pewdiepie, What Does the Fox Say... where would the internet be without them?
  3. There's something wrong with you, lad. I feel the same, tbh. If he keeps us up then great. Is he better than what we have right now? Sure. If I could pick anyone at all, it wouldn't be him. And I don't think that it matters very much in the long term outside of keeping us up this season. The way the club is structured needs to change. Recruitment needs to be better. We need to identify our strengths and play to them instead of trying to shoehorn a big box retail business model onto our club. The manager isn't going to change any of that.
  4. We might finally sign Dirk Kuyt this summer.
  5. In fairness, he should never have been given the Madrid job. Was nailed on to be sacked sooner rather than later.
  6. Meh. Might work out this season, paper over the cracks for the last few games. Long-term it's not going to make any difference, though. The issues with the club are systemic.
  7. Fuck me, that's dire. Is English even your first language?! It was never intended to be good. Minimal effort.
  8. Should we send his wife a bunch of flowers?
  9. This subject needs more limericks. There once was a man named Johnson Who met a Mackem who wants 'im She was only fifteenth He still showed her his peen And now he's gone down for noncin'
  10. Wall to wall nonces. Too close to Boro.

Haven't you changed formations a bit this season? Dempsey swung out wide again like his Fulham days? Yeah, we've adapted a bit from Oba leaving, the same way we had to adapt with squad changes last season and the season before. We alternate personnel and variously use 4-4-2 with wingers, 4-3-3, 4-4-2 played narrow through midfield, depending on who we have available. But the formation and the players on the pitch aren't the problem, ultimately. We always seem to bottle big games. We've got no tenacity. The same way the Galaxy are the exact opposite, they can be dog shit for 3/4 of the season and still get results and are contenders in the playoffs. We can go win the supporter's shield, be the best team in the league by a mile, then fuck everything up when it matters. Sigi just doesn't generate the right mentality.

Shit start for Seattle. Can't see them doing any better than usual this season. Scrape the playoffs and out pretty early. Maybe another USOC run. We need to replace Sigi. Don't know how many times we need to play this out before making a change.
  13. You know times are tough when Rafa Benitez is seen as too good an option to seriously consider.

  15. At least Barton is good entertainment value.

Haven't been to any away games, so my only experiences are watching Seattle at the CLink. It's loud, a little bit wanky, and you're surrounded by people who don't know what the fuck they're talking about. The first few times I went to matches I thought I was unlucky to always be standing next to a half-wit there desperately trying to impress a date with his futbol knowledge. After a few more matches I realized that those guys are actually about 25% of the fan base. That said, it's still pretty fun. I can't speak to other teams/stadiums. All I know is that I'm never going to watch RSL - they pipe in the world's most irritating song/chant every time they score. That kind of crap is everywhere in MLS, as I'm sure you already know.

somehow the exposition manages to be even worse than the initial kiddie fiddling.
  19. They were doing a lot better than they are now. How is it clearly not a case of poor management? I do feel sorry for him mind, don't know how anyone can successfully manage while not being able to speak the same language as the players I don't have more than a surface knowledge of what's going on there but a quick look at the last 10 results he's had (3-3-4) and the last 10 before he took over (4-5-1) both show them picking up 13 points. EDIT: Actually, some of those will be cup games too. "Points" probably doesn't stand up, but the overall argument remains. The games he won were cup games aye, haven't won a game in the league. As I said given the language barrier I wouldn't be writing him off based on this but he has done very poorly Fair enough. Still, probably deserves a bit more time before being given his P-cuarenta y cinco. No league wins is a bit worrying, though. Sir Bobby managed to to do alright not speaking the language in Portugal, Spain, or England.
