The way people go on about it is as if each club has a seperate pot of money for transfer funds. This is why some people don't take us seriously. Our woes are waaaaaaay deeper than net spend on transfers.

Wrong, Fabian Schar and Florian Lejeune, whilst not as good are good enough alternatives to Shelvey in terms of long range passing. This in turn freed up the rest of the attack that little bit more, as we didn't lose a CM into the quarterback position. The entire team had a much better balance with Ki on the ball in the centre circle, with players coming towards him rather than expecting him to play that 50 yard Hollywood ball every time. We're far too one dimensional in the Prem with Shelvey in the side, it's pathetic.

Had a bit of a rant about him on Twitter when I was little more pissed earlier. Him in a 532 is impossible, he's redundant when you have 2 cb's who can pass, like Schar and Lejeune. Ki plus whoever is much better, as players run away from Shelvey knowing he's going to hoof it. When Ki has the ball players run towards him for a short pass. It just seems to work much better imo. Shelvey just drops far too deep, and leaves us a man short in attack.

So we could (but likely not) be owned by the Japanese, Yanks and the Arabs. That would be awkward.

Man, you don't need to exaggerate to explain how shit we are. Division 3 is the absolute pits and as bad as we are the likes of Murphy would tear it up at that level. As it happens I've seen a few third tier games over the last year or so and it's not that much better than some conference national games I've seen. The drop from our level is insane.
