Signing a mid table PL club's best player (who also happens to be an England international)? Aye it would. It draws a line in the sand and is us saying "We're bigger than you, and we know it." I get that he's not as good as Bruno, but it's way easier to cherry pick the best players from Ligue 1 teams not called PSG than it is to sign another PL club's star academy product who's in his prime.

As a bit of a Derby fan I'm quite looking forward to this first game myself. Howay the fucking lads!

Yep, I remember my grandma driving us back from the airport when the radio announced that we'd signed Shaka Hislop, which was the first time 8 yr old me had heard anything about him coming. Makes you realise how draining everything is these days, hundreds of knackers each day playing tug-o-war with your emotions.

Given the transformation we've seen with the likes of Kraft I am more than happy to see Lewis given another chance at the club. He was a rabbit in the headlights, but then so was Kraft - and he put in one or two solid performances in some important wins for us.
