I think the point is if Ashley was seriously wanting to sell he'd value the club reasonably. By valuing the club at such an unreasonable figure he's simply tricking the gullible masses (ie. you) with his little game of deceit.

No idea what the club's budget will be like, but you've got to think it'll be tough getting straight back into the conference. Can't see them challenging for the football league in the next 10 years without some serious investment. Lots of people talking about Gateshead now will just not give a shit about them by next January, that's just the nature of the people the club has been trying to attract for god knows how long, even more so if this takeover happens at Newcastle. Seems like a lot of the Tyneside mackems are drifting towards following Sheeyelds for some bizzarre reason. Obviously nowt to do with them winning a few games these days.

True but he was arguably the best player on the pitch for several of those games. McTominay was arguably the best player on the pitch against Barcelona (first game) and definitely the best player on the pitch against PSG yet people on here realize Longstaff is better.

There is no hope for anything good at Newcastle as long as Ashley is in charge. I agree. What I’m trying to say is Rafa is the only thing keeping me interested. If he goes so does my love for nufc and no matter how shit it’s been the last 12 years, I don’t want that to happen. I’m sure many people feel the same way As great as I think Rafa is I just can't bring myself to give a shit anymore. Another year of competing with the newly promoted clubs for signings and finishing 13th has lost it's appeal, although I was probably kidding myself in the first place.
