  1. mixed feelings very mixed feelings and anyone bringing up points about them killing journalists, the lack of human rights and anything resembling lgbt tolerance is completely right to. Ashley is a deeply unpleasant person but he's an angel by comparison to this lot.
  2. just waiting for the april fools from Ashley since he's here forever
  3. the more I read about high level financial deals, stocks etc the less I seem to understand
  4. Directors test will have been against these as they couldn’t fail it. Pif to come on board later when ownership is secured....that’s my take on it. could be they'll be more in the background rather than day to day stuff so maybe majority shareholders without being a director (is that even a thing?)
  5. can anyone who understands companies house stuff translate for the ignorant like me?
  6. not really iirc beyond his dad anyway. Moved there out from Citys reserves but was on a fair chunk of cash at Notts County (for the level anyway)
  7. Southampton players (and coaching staff and directors) deferring part of their wages for April May and June
  8. would have thought so too with the probability of clubs having to return a lot of tv money if the season is cancelled
  9. seems like a decent enough gamble medium to long term if you can keep it going in the short term
  10. thing is they probably don't have much of a choice but to keep players on existing contract rates without them agreeing to any cuts since just cutting the wages could be breach of contract and they lose very valuable assets for nothing
  11. think the lad itself the stadium is on it owned by the city and leased to the club
  12. honestly my one take away from this argument is both the clubs and pfa are coming across as complete jackasses
  13. feels like a big gamble, basically kennys first match at senior international level is the playoff vs slovakia with only 3 or 4 days with the players beforehand fail there and it taints his entire reign from day one. Also it just feels wrong not to let McCarthy see out the campaign
  14. meanwhile uefa seem to be taking issue with belgium finishing the season early https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/apr/03/clubs-risk-champions-league-exclusion-if-seasons-abandoned-prematurely-uefa
  15. This - Not really. Think it’s a fair point. If his employer are asking him to put out what he knows because they’re struggling for content, he might not have much say in it. would it not be more likely if he's being pressed for content he'd go like every other football news related thing atm and go down the nostalgia route like favourite nufc or sunderland match manager whatever instead of a fairly major news piece that he isn't reasonably sure on?
  16. surprised the pfa haven't come out and offered some kind of wage deferral for easy pr, even pem clubs will suffer without any income for 2-3 months something will have to be cut somewhere and you'd think if the players agreed to defer even half their wages until things are semi normal again a lot of lower paid jobs could be saved
  17. pity we couldn't cancel april fools this year
  18. can't look past tiotes vs arsenal, honestly felt like a turning point for that season right after selling Carroll and instead of crumbling to relegation like it felt before that game things would be fine
  19. with sports channels throughout the world bleeding customers atm and probably in real danger of going out of business and the global economy in ruins I doubt it will continue to rise and rise
