  2. Plus they're guaranteed europa league group stage at worst so extra money there Only just heard. Great stuff. You from there or have I got that wrong? I am. Had a season ticket for years and they won fuck all, in the 2 years since I emigrated they've won the league twice and now done this could you move back, its getting irritating finishing 2nd to them

  4. Good signing for Villa that, who else have they signed? Can't say I've paid all that much attention to them
  5. I like how we're in a much easier league allowing him less pressure to build the club and get his methods in full flow. Plus with going on a good unbeaten run in this league will give everyone so much confidence in him regardless if it's in the Championship. well it is promotion or bust considering how fucked the club would be financially if he failed not to mention the hit to his reputation so thats pressure. But I get your point, less of a spotlight etc
  6. not all that sure this is a good idea, never filled me with much confidence for Ireland
  7. why in gods name are Swansea agreeing to that
  8. I am looking forward to the inevitable crash in the tv deal value and how fucked every prem club will be
  9. why exactly do they think its a good idea to sack their manager a week before the season starts? New guy even if they move lightning quick to get him has next to no time to get to know his squad. At least wait until the international break have your new guy lined up and he has 2 full weeks to get to know his squad
  10. even if he was fully committed I doubt he'd be in the Fulham squad if he's only back in training monday.

not from what I've seen, decent skill as a footballer not so much as a defender
  12. its left their preseason a bit of a shambles and not a lot of time to get a new manager and above all else, Allerdyce was a fairly safe bet to have them boringly lower mid-table in no real relegation trouble which would be a major improvement on their previous strategy of somehow escape when all hope seems lost, neat trick but you can't keep getting away with it.
  13. Surely they must have known he was buggering off early tonight, he can't have just done that off his own back. wouldn't surprise me if he did just decide ah fuck it I'm going to the pub to celebrate what are they going to do to him he's off anyway tomorrow.
  14. Interesting, thought he went for a small fee. Strange they didn't see a player in there worth a new contract. They did, he forced the move as he wanted first team football I think. Were they that well off in potentially world class box-to-box midfielders that could be worth a world record fee some day that they couldn't give him a few more first team opportunities? Being facetious but man, and not that they care, but they don't half looks like stupid cunts where this is concerned. it is quite baffling as you'd think Ferguson more than almost any other manager (only wenger would be better than him on that front) would give a youngster a fair shot in the first team
  15. This is the most baffling part about it. Not the fact that they're ludicrously overpaying for him, that they gave him away for free a few years ago They didn't give him away did they? Thought Fergie wouldn't play him so he forced the move? key part
  16. I won't hold my breath on them enforcing it when it comes to players from man utd, city etc but fully expect a hull city/burnley/boro player being sent off for daring to contradict what rooney decided the decision was going to be.
  17. another in the category of why the f*** did you not develop him yourselves and save £30m! Common denominators here are more fucking money than sense and Mourinho. Off the top of my head, he may have tossed Schurrle and De Bruyne away too for relatively small fees, stand to be corrected though. Really don't like Mourinho, cunt bores me to tears. De Bruyne one really makes Mourinhio look bad, sell him after you've been at the club for 6 months and barely used him, 18 months later he's at a rival for a giant fee and has become one of their best players. Thats just shit management and shows his limitations

yep would be the best possible replacement imho.

  20. This is the most baffling part about it. Not the fact that they're ludicrously overpaying for him, that they gave him away for free a few years ago why didn't they play him more, its utterly insane. If he was coming off the bench and starting vs the relegations teams/cups etc then he would have probably stayed and of all people to cock this up it was Ferguson.

Hopefully it'll just be quietly forgotten about. probably, think it was Llambias who was more behind that idea

Hippo head has left them in rather a bad spot, seasons only a few weeks away no signings made and they have to scramble to find a manager who will have next to no time to get his feet under the desk before the seasons started.
  23. I'd be fine with Tiote staying and might even name him captain since he seemed to do well with that role previously but it seems like he's wanted to leave for a while anyway.
  24. relatively young, plenty of experience in the league and we needed another cb so looks good to me
