  1. Because it's absolutely nothing to do with being usable and everything to do with making money. Exactly, see a white third kit this season when we have a predominantly white home shirt which got 'contractual' airings against Villa and Liverpool.

I've not even noticed our woodwork get hit that much this season.
  3. And Mike losing out on lots of £10 shirt printing business? Don't be silly.
  4. Nah they normally have a couple different training tops. White, black and blue ones IIRC.
  5. Consider spending the brass on some grammar lessons instead.
  6. £50 + £10 for the shirt printing. Strange how the S/S and L/S both cost the same now, used to be about an extra £10 for L/S.
  7. Despite initially thinking it was awful when it first leaked I now think it looks very smart. The long-sleeve will probably make it as the first current NUFC shirt I've bought in while.
  8. HealthOn 15 March 2011, Barcelona announced that Abidal was diagnosed with a tumor on his liver. He had surgery on his liver on 17 March 2011.[9] Citing privacy concerns as wished by the player, the club did not release additional information in regards to his condition.[10] In response to the announcement, players and fans from all over the world alike dedicated well wishes for the ill player on multiple social networking sites and sports websites.[11][12] Before their Round of 16 match in the Champions League both Real Madrid and Olympique Lyonnais players exited onto the pitch wearing Ánimo Abidal (Strength Abidal) t-shirts along with the same message on the Santiago Bernabéu's scoreboards in show of support and solidarity.[13][14] During the Barcelona's match against Getafe on 19 March, the fans at the stadium clapped for the entire 22nd minute, which is Abidal's shirt number for Barcelona, as a respectful moment for him. Abidal returned to action on the 3rd of May 2011, just 7 weeks after the diagnosis of the tumour, as a substitute in Barcelona's Champions League fixture against Real Madrid. Tumour =/= Cancer.
  9. Commentator just said he was diagnosed with cancer, no he wasn't.
  10. Hasn't turned up like the utter child that he is. No doubt some of the media will portray this as a shrewd move. I think it's a sackable offence tbh He's not allowed anywhere near his team in accordance with the UEFA rules, it's different to the PL where they are banned from the touchline only and can communicate with the team pre-match and at halftime.
  11. Banned. I thought no action was enforced on either clubs in the end..? Or is this linked with his red card in the reverse fixture? Aye, his red card.

Imagine his dismay when he realised he'd swapped Paris shopping for The Bridges, The Louvre for The National Glass Centre, Eiffel Tower for erm...

The main aim of signing footballers generally is too improve on your current squad/team,Muntari would be a vast improvement on the current defensive midfielders we have,it's really not even a debate he is a class above.
  16. Germany went a long way to disproving your theory. Look at the team they picked which raped England's under 21s the year before a few of them (Ozil, etc) played in the World Cup and helped do the same thing to the senior squad. Once they made it into the full team they don't drop back in though, do they? The likes of Oezil and Mueller are still eligible to play for U-21s, but they don't because they're starters for the full team. Germany brought a whole new generation through straight away, and failed to qualify this time. They don't care that they didn't qualify though, because the only success at U21 football is the number of players you can promote to the full team. Carroll & Wilshere have a couple of caps each, before the last Under 21 tournament Ozil & Neuer had also been capped by the senior squad. Exactly, they're hardly established internationals yet. An example of bringing an established international down a level just for this tournament would've been if we'd included people like Walcott or, if we'd have included Rooney in past U21 tournament squads.
  17. I'm glad they're playing tbh, makes the thing more watchable. Infact watching that team probably interests me more than watching the current senior one.

Any likely to make bows next season mate? Billy Knott almost certainly will and we have a lad at right back called Liam Marrs who has got a great chance aswell, attacking full back and looks very good.Louis Laing at centre half will definitely make it aswell but needs to put some weight on,a bit lightweight at present but a superb passer of the ball,a season out on loan would be good for him, still only 17 though so maybe too soon. 18 Laing was in the year below me at school and I've always wondered how a lad from Throckley ended up at Sunderland like, I think Newcastle missed out there.

  20. I'd say Simpson because for me he's consistently played at a level above what I expected from him. Barton's improved but he's only really reached a level we all expected from him in the first place. If Best had played a full season he would've probably snatched it but, he's played too little for me.
  21. Thank fuck we got some closure on that, it's been playing on my mind all night.
