  1. Definitely. There's around 5-6k who haven't renewed and they've had very little uptake from new ST holders so there's far more seats to fill on a match by match basis at hugely inflated prices. As a comparison I'm pretty sure Spurs at home last season didn't make general sale (if it did it was literally just a handful of tickets) and this season there's going to be 1000s available. Might not even sell out. Speaking personally I haven't renewed my ticket and I have no intention of paying £40+ which will be the general sale price, to watch individual matches, and I think the majority will have a similar mindset.
  2. I'm blocked from both the Sports Direct Twitter site and the Keith Bishop one.
  3. I got blocked on Twitter by Sports Direct on Friday. Thought it was a bit harsh as I didn't really say much but they must be a touch sensitive at the moment.
  4. Whatever people decide to do you'll always get wankers who will try to belittle them and rubbish their ideas whilst coming up with nothing constructive themselves, especially in this day and age with social media etc.
  5. Or, we could read the names on the tweets. Which one of you is Stephen Porter? That's me! You're a cunt.
  6. Grim. Going from a top half finish last season to the goal just being to try and survive for the following one.
  7. Our standard had us in the relegation zone at Christmas It had Dubravka and Kenedy after that. It did. That doesn’t mean Matt Richie doesn’t need upgraded though. He's one of the last players we need to upgrade on tbh.
  8. Explains why he's not too keen to part with the £125m TV money from last season and he's priced the new tips at £65 I suppose!
  9. Looks like season ticket sales have taken a massive hit. Sold out for last season but for next season the stadium plan shows around 6,000 seats available to buy including loads in areas where there was a waiting list ie Family enclosure.
  10. Feel really sorry for Rafa. He desperately wants the club to succeed and he clearly has a huge affinity to the area and the supporters but he knows he can never make a success of things here due to the owner. It's such a crying shame and a massive opportunity wasted. He'll see out his contract and get a big job next summer.
  11. Let him go. Not good enough anyway.
  12. Agree. Loads of Non League and lower league clubs ask their fans to help with this us such as ground maintenance which is what Sunderland are and have done. It's quite funny because it shows what they've now turned into but the principle of it is fine.
  13. Loads of people on here rated Anita. In fact I used to get stick on a regular basis for trying to tell people he was shite.
  14. Finished below Blyth and Spennymoor last season.
  15. Team Northumbria have resigned from the Northern League.

  17. My Dad changed his mind. Lets go Toons! Nice one mate! Gutted I haven't renewed but £628 was just a bit too much for me.
  18. Agree with this. I keep all my old season tickets in a drawer and they first one i ever bought was for the 1991/92 season when Ardiles was manager. The price was £45 for a 23 game season. Yes we were poor (although that season was pretty enjoyable if not a bit tense at the end!) but the financial outlay was small as well. If I'd renewed for this season it would have cost me £628 which is a huge financial commitment for many people, especially in our part of the country, when you don't even know if Rafa will hang around if by September he's been shafted again.
  19. People are saying they won't buy a season ticket because they are seeing no investment in the squad. Nobody is asking for a marquee signing. People are just wanting money invested into the squad, and Rafa backed properly before they invest their own money into it. I don't know of anyone who says they won't renew unless we sign a really top name.
  20. I think you miss my point. I'm stating that we're suddenly being strongly linked with all these players after a very quiet summer just as the season ticket renewal deadline is approaching and season tickets will be put on general sale. They've been doing this for years and no doubt this is where Keith Bishop is at his busiest. Less and less people will be falling for it though.
  21. Appears that approaches have been made for Townsend, Kenedy, Stufaro and Allasane Plea form Nice have all been made. Very little all summer and now this! I've also noticed it's season ticket deadline day today as well.
