Exactly. Our standard season tickets are very expensive. £579 to sit behind the goals or a minimum of £710 to sit alongside the pitch. I'm sure it was proven last season that it's actually cheaper to pay match by match than to have a season ticket.
  2. Could be hosting Carlisle v Hartlepool on December 28th. Might make my first appearance of the season at SJP for that one.
  3. Maybe deserved more against Sunderland and Stoke though. Swings and roundabouts and all that.
  4. Thought it was the opposite and we like to attack the Gallowgate 2nd half with it not only being our "home end" but also because of the 6ft slope down to that end of the pitch which comes into play more as the legs get tired.

On the contrary. I certainly wouldn't sign up to a Mackem forum to slag us off with them though.

Dear me. He's so far up the mackems @rses I'm actually embarrassed for him.
  7. I'd say we're looking like a pub team here but that would be disrespectful to pub teams everywhere.
  8. Mackems have got a good chance of getting something today. Same ref as they had against us when he literally let them do what they wanted whilst wrongly sending off one of our players.
  9. I'm hearing Celtic have applied to take their place in the next round.
  10. Carr simply does as he's told which is to buy young, Foreign players for as little an outlay as possible, from smaller leagues who will then in turn make the club a tidy profit 2-3 years down the line. You simply can't run a football club in this way when this is your only transfer strategy. It's just not flexible at all and has left us in a position where we have a young squad, devoid of any leadership which regularly goes on ridiculous losing runs because there's no figurehead(s) in the dressing room to get the players back on track. You can see it on the pitch. We go a goal down, heads drop and there's not a single player on that pitch who is capable of getting a reaction from his teammates and taking the game by the scruff of the neck. The fundamental problem is that NUFC is not run like a football club and decisions are not made for footballing reasons. It's always going to be a recipe for disaster.
  11. Why pointless ? Because the wider fanbase won't bother to get themselves involved and support them.
  12. Decent enough read if rather pointless; http://ashleyout.com/articles/deja-vu/
  13. Wor lass was wanting to enrol the bairn in that Field House nursery over the road from the training ground in January. I'll be putting a stop to that now.
  14. I think people overestimate how good out team/squad is. I'd say we arguably have the worst goalkeeper (excluding Krul who won't play again this season), the worst back 4, the worst central midfield and possibly, potentially a mid table strike force.
  15. I'm hearing he has 3 games to save his job and that Lawrie Sanchez has already been sounded out about replacing him.

Exactly this there's no way I'd put myself in the limelight and be subject to the abuse that this piece of shiit gets for 250 quid a day f*** that What abuse is he getting other than a few people calling him little Mike and Penfold on the internet? I could take that for £80k a year. I've only been at work for an hour this morning and someone's already called me a c*nt.
  17. f***ing exactly. Taking abuse from TCD in spades yesterday for saying this exact thing in a different way. He's a football manager/coach and he should be able to affect some kind a change to our predicament with alterations in tactics and personnel but he just picks more or less the same team every week. Apparently him not doing any of those things that even fat f***ing Sam has started doing is all down to Ashley and Charnley. It's mental, it's the same excuses Pardew used to trot out for himself but people are actually doing it for McClaren You can only coach players who want to be coached. These players couldn't care less, hence the reason we go on these ridiculous losing streaks, get hammered on a regular basis, have been in a relegation fight the last 3 seasons and have allowed an awful Sunderland team to beat us 6 times in a row.
  18. Definitely agree with the bit in bold but the clowns who occupy the stands at SJP these days will turn on him before they turn on Ashley/Charnley/Carr/the "players", all of whom are more culpable than McClaren.
  19. You need to dig a bit deeper. It's 2 wins in 14 and something like 5 wins in 2015. 2014 was a hopeless year as well. Ok so Pardew, Carver and McClaren are never going to be managing a title winning side any time soon but the players need to take a massive share of the blame here. They've failed 3 managers now and for the vast majority of the past 3 years they've barely broken sweat. Some of them are being paid more than £250,000 a month and they aren't even trying. Aye Ashley has picked some poor managers (and the blame for this mess ultimately is at his door) but those players are an absolute disgrace. No coincidence that once we go a goal down it's game over because the players just down tools yet a Pardew team went a goal down against us yesterday and then preceded to rattle in 5 in return. We need to start signing proper players and proper men. Not cheap fannies from the Dutch and French League.
  20. The players should be booed onto the pitch, heckled throughout, and then booed off the pitch as well. We'll lose anyway so it's not like getting behind them will make a difference. It's about time the public started to make these impostors feel a little uncomfortable. They've had it too easy for too long.

    Positives?

I packed in my season ticket in the summer. A huge positive.
  22. Can't see the point in sacking him just to replace him with another loser.
