  1. Cancelled mine this time last year. Just pick and choose my games now. I'm going to the Man City match and the Derby (providing I can get a ticket) and that'll probably be my lot for this season as we have absolutely nowt to play for and £30+ is too expensive to watch football with very little riding on it other than Premier League prize money.
  2. We're basically now a football club that isn't interested in winning anything. It exists simply to turn in a moderate profit every year which makes it just the same as any other business up and down the country. Finish 8th-12th every season whilst exiting the cups at the early stages is the blueprint now and Pardew seems more than happy to go along with that. We, as supporters only really have the Derby with the Mackems and local bragging rights to look forward to these days and they even seem to have given up on that going by the previous couple of meetings. You just know they'll turn us over again in 4 weeks time. Yes the life has been well and truly sucked out of our club and Pardew is a big (not the biggest) part of that.
  3. We won't achieve anything as long as we persist in playing a centre forward who hasn't scored in over a year.
  4. Absolutely not. Sick of us being knocked out in the early stages every f***ing year. Totally agree. We're going to finish 7th, 8th or 9th this season (8th imo) so we won't be troubling the Champions League or be in danger of going down. Would love to see Pardew go all out for the FA Cup. After all we've proved that on our day we can match the top teams so we've got nowt to fear.
  5. Used to always be "We love you Newcastle" but over the years the "you" has been dropped. Preferred it the old way.

£32m, that's 32 MILLION POUNDS spent on Wickham, Altidore, Fletcher & Graham. You've got to laugh.

teacher ? 'kin hell, i'm sure he lives in a village to the west of newcastle aswell. Girl one has a sunderland supporting teacher atmosphere her school............I wonder ? He's just a harmless lad goes by the name of Graham I think. Doesn't appear to be quite the full shilling bless him.
  8. Newcastle offered Southampton a reciprical lower price offer for tomorrows match meaning Southampton fans would be charged £20 and our fans would be charged the same at St Mary's. Southampton refused so their fans are having to pay £37 to sit up in Level 7 because that is what Newcastle fans will have to pay when we play them down there.

The last set of accounts they released showed they made an average of just under £16 per seat in gate reciepts which was the lowest in the league (we made £26). It'll be far less than that for them this season as they have flooded their games with cheap and free ticket offers to try to maintain a 40k average. Love it when you go on their site and they're all patting each other on the back because of their crowds. Of course you're going to get decent crowds when you're giving tickets away left, right and centre and heavily discounting 1000's of others. In fact they should be ashamed that despite all that they still have the most empty seats in the league. And only likely to be getting worse in the near future. I said ages ago they should have moved into the Darlo Arena and kept the SoS for the music gigs and the Newcastle match They even dished out loads of free tickets to local schools and government offices in the week leading up to the match against us when they realised there was no chance of it selling out.

I'd reckon that apart from season ticket holders (and their season tickets are about the cheapest in the league) they will probably only have around 1,000 full paying fans per game on average. The rest will be on freebies and cheap £10 tickets. Yesterday season ticket holders could get extra tickets for a tenner each and I posted a while back about them giving 5,000 lapsed season ticket holders free tickets for their home game v Liverpool. Now if they're doing that for the bigger games you can only assume that for the likes of Stoke and Fulham they just open up the gates and anyone who wants to can just wander in.

  12. Just had an email off NUFC. Adult tickets available for £15 and a fiver for kids up in level 7.

This 100%. I didn't see them all up in arms when Larsson should have walked against Man City. They've got an awful team and are trying to hide behind refereeing decisions for the position they find themselves in. People forget they were already losing at 11 v 11. Crystal Palace had a player harshly sent off at 0-0 and went on to win the game.
  14. Quick heads up for anyone who hasn't bought their ticket yet. NUFC have opened up the away end to home fans and tickets in there are only £17.50 for adults and £10 concessions.
  15. They were interviewing an ex Pro the other week (can't for the life of me remember his name) and he was saying having a top class Keeper can be worth an extra 12-15 points over the course of a season. Personally I think goalkeepers are undervalued in the transfer market. If the Mackems had westwood in goal last season instead of Mignolet they would be playing in the Championship now.
  16. I think i'll go along to this for a fiver. Last time I went to watch Gateshead play they were at home to Barnet and Barry Fry was the Barnet manager so that must have been 20 odd years ago.

    Alan Pardew

I noticed he mentioned how well we played against the Mackems once again in his Spurs post match ramblings. I can only presume he thinks that if he keeps on saying it, in time it will become accepted that we did play well against them and were just unlucky.

They usually beat Man City at home mind. 2 years running I think. Might stick a daft tenner on them if they're 10/1 or better so at least I get a nice return should they pull it off again.
  19. Of course he doesn't but Newcastle fans always like a scapegoat and it's usually the lad that always gives 100% but isn't blessed with the most ability who kops for it. Warren Barton used to get ridiculous abuse at times back in the 90's as did the likes of Mark Stimson in the late 80's/early 90's.

Same here. Tv or radio goes off as soon as he comes on. Literally can't bear to see or hear him speak.
  21. We've only won 1 of our last 7 home league games, the aggregate score in which is 5-15. We're s***, basically. What a horrific stat. And still the useless tw@t is still no closer to the sack.
  22. Sadly the modern day crowd at SJP is almost as spineless as the manager and players are so they will file out quietly and nothing will happen.
