  1. It's not quite the same thing as using a child's ticket though. Apparently she accompanies two minors, so if she couldn't go they couldn't go presumably. Look at it this way too: if this was an able bodied person who had passed on their ticket to another able bodied person (for example one parent to the other) to accompany their Toon mad children to the match, because they couldn't go themselves, would anybody have any objection to that? Presumably passing on your season ticket to anyone else is against T&C's anyway? So what's the issue here then? The fact a disabled person's ticket is a tenner cheaper than an able bodied's, and the club is losing out on a tenner as a one off to a group of loyal fans, one of whom even worked for the club in the past? http://informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Mike-Ashley.jpg 'THE FUCK?! HAVE THAT WOMAN KILLED. I NEED A LIE DOWN!'
  2. Pardew will wolf the first half down; and sit back and absorb the rest of the pizza for the second. 'I think a hard fought point against Margherita is a good result. We can't compete with the likes of Pepperoni.'
  3. Looks slightly phallic and it's blue. Maybe an omen that we are going to get royally shafted by the Blues. Poll-penis is packing some serious shaft. You daamn right...

  5. At least they are getting pelters for whatever reason. About time they got some abuse with actual permanence and distribution. Ends and means and all that.
  6. No principle...riiiighto-then. FWIW, I think we gave it a go in the Europa League and as long as we are showing ambition somewhere I'd have no problem. Cups, Europe whatever but the cold light of day suggests we now don't. Tread water until Ashley F's O/dies/has decided to change his tact.
  7. We won't neccessarily finish 8th or higher and I think we'll have another run of poor games before long. The quality of teams general in the league this year is shocking imo.
  8. Just being into football is a childish pursuit we don't ever grow out of. Grown men spending our time posting on a football forum would be cringe inducing to the more pompous arsehole. "Plastics" "Glory hunters" "Fairweather" "Your support is fucking shit" "Where' d'you park your minibus" "Sell all your tickets, you couldn't sell..." Supporters have more ways of baiting each other than eskimos have words for snow. It's half the fun. Anyone who takes that stuff seriously is a wanker, but no fan should ever give it the Billy big bollocks that all that shite is beneath them, like they're a more enlightened supporter. Sorry like. but what has the fact that football fans goad each other in different ways mean that we should be bothered about what we think about our attendances. I don't see the link between that and those examples other than the blanket field of football fan. Sorry, I don't understand those sentences. What has the fact that football fans goad each other in different ways got to do with us being bothered about what they think about our attendances? I don't see the link between that and those examples other than the blanket field of football fan. Garbled the first with unrelated clauses. Second one was straight forward enough mind.

  10. Cricket is a big exception to this imo. I listen to TMS a lot and I'm often quite shocked how frank some of the commentary team (not just Boycott) are, even about players they've played with and will know well. I suppose its down to national cricket being a lot more prominent than the premier club competitions. The Premier League casts a massive shadow over the national game and the sums of money involved (litigation risk?) are vast.
  11. Sticker this: http://s14.postimg.org/fk2ixr2pd/club_crest.png
  12. You won't find those in the fraternity criticise each other to the necessary degree no matter how bad things get...Souness, Allardyce, Warnock, Hughes, Ince, Di Canio et al. So much mediocre-terrible appointments made jobs dor the boys style and they all blow smoke up each others arses ad nauseaum. Matt Holland won't hear a bad word said about Pardew on TalkShite because he's played a round of golf with him every 6 month. Sports writing/media is the pits man.
  13. I'd let Joe come in; expose Ashley for the vindictive madman he is and blow the shitstorm wide open and him go more quickly. Sever the hand to save the arm kinda gig.
  14. What do you hope will happen after that? The other two will follow.
  15. Spot on. We will of course though see in this thread the vacuous argument that being a supporter means going to matches regardless of any circumstance and that it is even somehow admirable to actively enable those who take the p*ss out of you. Which is akin to some sort of retarded old military romanticism like charging at machine guns. Nice analogy. Supporting through thick and thin captures a lot - being fucked over by refs, blowing your last chance at silverware or success for what you expect will be an unforeseeably long time etc... but it doesn't include funding/supporting a management structure which seeks to deny you the opportunity to even feel such nadirs/injustice or makes you ashamed of the club. I'd personally even go as far to argue its incumbent upon fans who support what I perceive to be the values of the club, to turn your back on those who seek to make it into the pathetic sponsorship vehicle it is (/becoming). Supporting your club does not exclusively occur through the emptying of your wallet into Ashley's collection sack and obsequiously watching and passively swallowing whatever they serve (reminder: if this Cisse deals go through, Shola is our owned first-choice striker), and I'd wager a lot of the fans who aren't renewing find it quite agonising to stay away. I wouldn't call them fairweather fans (or whatever meaningless barb you want) at all. I've never been a ST and if that invalidates my opinion, so be it - but I miss coming up to Newcastle the handful of times I go every season and I'd much prefer to go than stay away. On the money Beren. Top drawer.
  16. Id rather be fightinfor the title in a lower league than this wilful watertreading atm tbh. Cups would matter too.
  17. No blame but I cant understand why any fan who takes more than a passsing interest cant join the dots in seeing where their support really goes.
  18. Obviously the players have a large share of the blame, but what is your motivation if those above you say you cant compete, dont want to win trophy x/competition y?
  19. Cant blame Pards. Ignore the regime.
  20. He's ruthless and devoid of sentiment. Fans need to be too if your going showdisdain. Might not make much difference but i feel less subjegated by the whims of a despot.
  21. Baron Harkonnen. Nice. Does that make Kinnear Sting?
  22. whats needed is a balance between the 2 extremes. Someone with an actual plan to improve us as a football club and not just the clubs ability to turn a profit, but also someone who has the courage to stick with his plan when things aren't going well. Aye. It's been pretty much a full pendulum swing. Free Love to Third Reich in the writing of a cheque.
  23. I can confidently hand on heart state I would much rather be in the championship, with hungry championship players, fighting for premier league with a manager with a decent positive attitude and looking to win things. Sick of he whole situation of nothingness; balance sheets and treading water. If this is the Premier League in 2014 then fuck it. Leicester are up the road from where I grew up and I've had far more enjoyment following them attack the top of the championship and it kills me to say that. Thanks Mike you shitsucking fucking scum.
  24. He loves the idea of 'battle' a lot more than fluidity and that's evident in his tactics.
