This is a shame. Very accomplished, tidy squad player and not least because of the fact I'd spent good money on a T-shirt with 'Perch and Destroy' written on it.

I think my avatar and sig combined suggest I'm not pro-Ashley tbh. I don't wish annyone dead btw...just tongue in cheek.

Hey Joe. Where you go with that bun in your hand?

Poyet seems to be articulate, have a modicum of intelligence and seems hungry to play positive football at as a high a level as he can achieve. Pardew has displayed little if none of that. Not the choice I would have thought of but if true I feel he would be a positive change. It would certainly help to dispel this anti-foreign rhetoric that Pardew has used to scapegoat his failings. They can all fuck off for all I care but until then I would not sniff at the suggestion of a genuinely promising young manager like Poyet.

If there was a complete boycott of St James Park, literally an empty stadium, he'd have to go to be quite honest. Probably aye. How likely is that do you think? Not very likely at all, but it's a point none-the-less. Even if the attendance figures dropped significantly like 20-30k less he'd probably seriously rethink his position. I just hate this 'it's not going to work so I'm not even going to try' attitude. A visible protest by the fans is the only thing that can make a difference other than the whim of Ashley right now and a half empty St James Park on a saturday would make a huge statement. Yup. I don't like the idea that any form of organised protest including abstinence is deemed futile and not worth the hassle.

Gouffran is underrated imo and you can definitely debate the positive case for lots of the others too.

But the club IS Ashley. That's the whole problem. It's his own personal toy essentially and he can do whatever he so pleases with it. It isn't 'ours' at all. Bollocks. He might own the buildings, the player registrations, the pie stands and the borehole but the club is ours. You're right but the sentiment counts for Jack shit; he calls the shots that have the impact. The only real thing we could do that would have an impact is to do things that will fly in the face of his beloved cash flow.

This name stuff has to be deliberate and some sort of agenda driven, sick joke. I know hes fucking nuts but no way you could get those names wrong like that after knowing how it disenfranchised players before. Maybe this is me trying to make sense of all this; but is Ashley engineering some sort of scorched earth policy with a firesale of the more lucrative talent and a completely blank slate being cleared for Uncal Joe? At best it could be a firesale with a view to leaving.

He's definitely off imo...threes a crowd and all that

Not enough groan gifs in the world. How fucking predictably depressing.

I don't know what to post in which thread but I think the Ashley/Pardew relationship can accurately be summed up using this gif... http://images3.makefive.com/images/news-business/design/top-5-coolest-animated-gifs/the-shiny-candy-like-button---ren-and-stimpy-7.gif

We have to make him go...somehow. This is the straw that should break the camels back.

How's it a bit much? All this shite about cockneys sounds cringey like...just exacerbates that divide rather than help people from all over hear what we say. And at the same time it's true. I'm a Geordie working in London and have no problem with anyone from any part of the world but that farfetched everyday scenario works. Applying it to this situation is more difficult but it does increasingly look like the "It'll always be St James Park to me, particularly if results are OK" lark has given this prick too much time and too much licence to take the piss. And I include myself in that too, I still go to games - mainly aways but a few homes too - because I feel the need. The anecdote works; you just don't need to reference the fact that we're geordies or they're not at all; just call them for what all people should view them as, Twats. Twats is all that needs to be said and can be evidenced by the trail of sheer callousness and incompetence theyve displayed. Yeah, that's true too. The fact that he's parked up with a load of Southerners that appear to detest the people of the region is a dynamic here though, don't deny it. A big factor in the reason I was spitting blood last night was how clear it is that this oaf holds clear contempt for the people of Newcastle and wants to paint them as idiots. Definitely but it's because he's a complete twat above all other labels. With his bosses bigger ones. I just fear our valid point (as per the anecdote) gets lost in flag waving and empty rhetoric. I'm a 2nd generation mud blood geordie and with yourself living in London you may agree, perhaps not, that it lessens the impact of the issue for the media and joe public elsewhere. We don't necessarily need them onside but the sensationalism of the Kinnear stuff has certainly raised their profile as useless twats. Which has been great.
