Totally agree Every single one of them signed up and were happy to join this hackjob-wheeler-dealer setup. What's changed? Repeated quotes about being happy of being out of European competition from the very people who are to be motivating you, realisation that your employers are insincere, poor coaching and unfulfilling approaches to games, fan criticism, homesickness. Who knows? Could be any number of eye opening things you can only get from being within the setup. Without going on about him too much, it saw KK off and he was enthusiastic enough to start with and he is one of the few who are candid enough about that. There is clear disillusionment and lack of satisfaction within the team and setup which for all their rewards I can't blame some of the players for resenting. What I do resent, if it is the case is mercenary behaviour and insincerity from players and if he proves to be another of that ilk then it would be a real shame.

I don't blame players for being fed up with the hackjob-wheeler-dealer setup and lack of results and ambition but I'd much rather they just be up front. A quality lacking from top to bottom though I'm afraid. Hate football atm now like.

Why would Wonga agree to that? I don't imagine Wonga could do anything about it in any event. They need positive PR, rocking the boat isn't going to be top of their list. These contracts will have stuff in them requiring all players to wear shirts with the sponsor et etc. No doubt about it, it'll form part of the contract, but if Papiss (or anybody else) absolutely refuses to wear the shirt, then IMO, he'll be on the pitch in a sponsorless shirt. They can just decide to wear whatever they like then? Unless the club and Wonga are willing to budge, he'll either wear the shirt or be shown the door realistically. This. Sponsorship is serious money for serious reasons.

The guy is one of life's twats. He just happens to be in a job where talent supercedes attitude and you are rewarded handsomely for it.

how come, if he's a goal every other game striker and he starts missing relatively easy chances surely thats his fault. isn't the sign of a decent striker that if one decent chance comes their way per game they take it ? Limitations covers that but played the right way in the right system and you maximise what he does have to offer. That was the top and bottom of what I was trying to say. He's not world class or anywhere near because of his limits but play him the right way with the right way and I've no doubt he'll get the return we've seen him display before. Everyone of our team is inhibited in some way by the way we play and he is, to the most stark of contrasts, no exception. That doesn't mean they are exempt from blame but I don't think they are helped by the influences of those responsible for the entirety of the team. He has to stay imo anyway.

He has undoubted quality; yet he has apparent limitations. It's the managements fault that the former can't emerge over the latter. Selling him would be folly right now without others coming in first.
