The only way you'll improve young players is by giving them opportunities regularly, not throwing them in once they stick a few in for the reserves. I've got no problem starting Carroll or Ranger. Alongside Marlon the beast, either of them are going to get goals. Well done to the goomba savin our bacon last night...and Butt needs to die of old age as he doesnt seem to get dropped otherwise. Agree with some of this, like the money issue and flawed level of pride. What puzzles me is the use of the term winner which is banded about so much in football. Is this is the same definition of winner that gets applied to the likes Roy Keane by the media when they're plainly just being dirty b@stards? He's often defined a as a winner yet in management terms i thinks he's a shower of shite. I don't buy it that Keegan is a chancer, he is a good coach that has unfortunately for us not been able to cope with other people calling the shots, rightly or wrongly. I think its terrible he's trying to get that amount money from us at a time like this and thank him for times gone by but can't help but feel a bit of distain about this whole fiasco

He's as bad as Nicky Butt is now. Good players at some point in their career, as you have noted, but he has no pace anymore and does very little in the games i've ever seen him play. I'd sooner see more of this Georgian lad. Doesn't help that the squad is ludicrously thin but I don't see the effect he has on the pitch anymore

They say you should never meet your heroes, you'll only ever be dissapointed...I met kevin and a load of players at rushden and diamonds in pre-season once and they were brilliant. It's all b0ll0cks....Buzz lightyear was a stuck-up w@nker though... The sooner ashley and keegan are ancient history the better. Almost everything that happened during the Sheperd/Ashley dynasties deserves criticism. I question the love kevin keegan professes to have for this club and theres no question ashley is a prize idiot. I hope this legal/political farce is water under the bridge asap and there are people at the top who have the ability to appoint a manager who won't spend like he's on champ manager but also don't want the club as pure real estate either

They're both members of the self-preservation society i'm afraid. Ashley wants to stop the flow of his losses and Keegan is a man who's pride far outweighs his love of this club....It could of course be a load of press bollocks and exaggeration, but i've no time for anyone who wants to make a fast buck and little else (i.e. anything other than sporting success, a legacy) out of my club

we cant afford to bring Harewood in for Ranger because we need pace? No i just think that seeing as other players lack such an assent the more pacy players we have on the pitch with talent the better. I still think Harewood in an enigma in terms of his ability and Ranger has performed well in his last few games even against p'boro he stood out. I'd like to see how Marlon gets on because i think he looked ok with what little he had to work with. Fielding players like Nicky Butt we need all the pace we can get
