If you look at Mourinho, a manager who has won more than Rafa, currently 8th in Serie A and still don't think some of these managers are not what they once were then I am not sure what to say Rafa is a case of what could have been that people are still romantic about. I love the guy and to a large extent still rate his ability but its clear the game now has fresher managers with fresher ideas.

An embarrassment beyond all embarrassments this guy is not only still here but captain of the team as well. Donkey isn't even the word.

Doubt many can, the improvement around us and our degradation (from what was always mostly crap anyway) is the biggest issue here. Defensively we just are not PL quality at all and this is even with Schar and Fernandes playing. It's like going from worst to third worst at best and hoping things turn in our favour. I still think its too early days for anyone to write him off but the notion of getting the most out of the squads can only go so far when your back players are the worst in the league.

We've let go games that we could have won or got more from based on these nonsense decisions. Anyone knows that our best pairing is Schar and Fernandes. All this Shelvey, Joelinton and "positive approach" + good PR crap means fuck all if you handicap yourself in this manner.

Anyone who thinks we aren't down based on some form of logic in their mind is confusing that with nothing more than hope and a very very outside chance of luck - you're involving doing something that statistically is against you going by the past. We're down barring a total miracle, this is reality, not "knee-jerking".

He has graft and football brains, its just that his ability wasn't for what we thought we were buying initially. Would have loved if that cross that was coming his feet's way in the box wasn't intercepted - would have been a goal. Has the fight in him for a relegation battle, for that reason alone needs to keep starting.

I still think the opposition will be targeting his side of the pitch as long as he plays. He obviously needs to keep starting games until January but I think we need to buy an upgrade in January. I thought he was okay but certainly not amazing.

He's clearly not a final third player, his only chance at a goal is in the box shot without anyone blocking it. I think his hold up and break up play has been excellent last few games, miles miles better than other options on the bench.
