7. solid. Really needed someone like Isak and Botman. If we signed another winger 10.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Back to square one in terms of strength in depth in that department. I'm also not of the opinion that Pope is significantly better than Dubravka anyway. He's an upgrade and has been great so far absolutely, but it's not the ideal scenario still needing to rely on Darlow for some games this year. -

No point to sign Pope if we were going to let Dubravka go Very sideway move by the club. -
Willock plays like someone depressed and lethargic. Such a shame he hasn't really kicked off since coming back here. Hope it won't stay like that all season because the potential is there.

Will need Willock, ASM and/or Miggy to really show up today

Same. Doesn't change the outlook of our overall goalkeeping situation with Dubravka leaving. How's Pope's injury record generally? Pope has been great but Dubravka has never generally been anything but reliable. Didn't expect a goalkeeper to sign during the summer window unless there was going to be competition between them and Dubravka with Darlow being 3rd choice. -
Skill, flair and intelligence nowhere near good enough for this level Top 10 championship player. Wish him well being a Newcastle fan but in the needs shifted ASAP category with a few others from Rafa's time.

Awful awful player. Can't wait to see him gone.

100% this. It remains to also be one of the best and most beautiful stadiums in the country when it's at it's best.

An ALDI Hatem without the near enough consistent end product. Doesn't seem to naturally have it. As suggested earlier, his game is more or less tricks against beating 1-2 players then hoping for the best He's definitely passing more and trying to be less selfish but the quality to deliver in that department is far too inconsistent I fear this season we will see he's hit his ceiling here and is best suited to being a gold fish in a small bowl kind of environment/club. I hope he proves his doubters wrong, absolutely love the lad and won't forget his contributions when he first joined.

Never forget his performance Bournemouth away where them 3 points for us were daylight robbery

Nah, he's a Brazilian Steve Harper.

Saudi offer is 40m and an ankle pic. No nudes. Take it or leave it habibi -
I can't imagine what's basically a Saudi national/government entity buying a football club to see it do mediocre in the league it's in, because I know how much they value not losing face in that culture, especially with their investments. Surely they have to blow the big cash at some point this summer. Another 10th/11th/12th finish does nothing towards their project ambitions (if they are indeed true).

I'm approaching bedwetting territory now Need me some more of them signings mang

Did his job, been a bit stupid this last year but won't overshadow his overall contribution in my eyes. All the best.

Met him down the Quayside once with his family and some friends Canny bloke, nice enough to stop for a photo. I wish him well.
