  1. Watching the every game every goal show on Prime, Jeff Stelling presenting
  2. City won't do it this season, they're chasing down 2 teams not just one this time, and those two teams are a lot better than last season, and better prepared than the Arsenal of last season. If city lose tonight they're in big trouble. They've still got to go to Anfield, got to come here and play Arsenal, if they're 6 adrift after tonight it's no guarantee them going on their 12 game winning streak will be enough. Let's not also forget, City are a lot weaker this season than last season with the players they've lost. I just can't see it, and really do think Villa will win tonight
  3. Just so much that turns me off the Premier league now. Think it's actually made it worse the better we've got as it's made me hate more teams at the top. Arsenal and Liverpool being as they are and winning games like this makes me sick. The fact one of them is probably going yo win the league this season is bullshit. Just takes the enjoyment out of it for me as I actively want them to lose but they always manage to win like this. Can't be arsed with it
  4. Yup the 3pm Saturday kick off in the Premier League is pretty much dying out now, 5 games every weekend will be on, so that only leaves 5 games that could be at 3pm, but when there's Europe there'll be loads of 2pm kick offs on a Sunday, so shit.
  5. Aye I know what you're saying but there's only so many times they can do that, eventually teams around them are going to get better and won't drop off. Arsenal are annoyingly more experienced this year and its not just one team this time, like it was with Liverpool for a couple years and Arsenal last season, it's both of them they'll need to slip up. I know it's early but if City don't sort themselves out they'll be too far behind. City still have to come here, go to Liverpool, Villa, Tottenham and play Arsenal at home.
  6. Think Villa will beat them, Arsenal and Liverpool have very easy games, looks like them two will pull away unfortunately. Fucking hell, a title race between Liverpool and Arsenal makes me feel sick. With City they're so inoffensive I've liked them winning every year as the alternatives, as seejln above, are so grim
  7. Aye, Rodri and Grealish both suspended, Rodri will be a huge miss. I mean city should still win but it'll be tight.
  8. Eurgh, Arsenal 4 points clear if Spurs win...
  9. Mackems will be sacking Mowbray in a week or two then to try their old trick of the new manager bounce against us
  10. Wales may as well not bother qualifying Scotland will be lucky to finish 3rd. We should breeze through but 2 toughish games with Serbia and Denmark if we're not on our game.
  11. Denmark, Netherlands and Italy/Ukraine would be quite the group for England like, wouldn't be overly confident
  12. Penalty coming up here and that'll be game over, shite this
  13. Everton rubbish here like, fancied them fkr a result today but that goals took it all out of them, hopefully they can get back in it
  14. See Carragher and Neville wanking over Trent likening him to De Bruyne and Gerrard and saying what a goal threat he is and how many goals he scores. Scored 2 goals in 37 league games last season and 1 in 13 this season I know he played RB a bit more to the start of last season but this messiah worshipping of him in the media is weird.

    England

How do people follow England home and away man, especially away, find it so weird. Outside of a tournament pretty much every game is dull as fuck, and it's hardly like the away games are in decent areas. It's just pointless, can't get my head round wasting all that money, there's no pleasure to get out of it.
  16. Christ yeah, how times have changed, lightyears between them at the time and now at the same level, and Ashington above Grantham in the league too. Looked decent when they came here the other week too, finished 2-2 but Ashington had a player sent off and were the much better team. Has been an absolutely disastrous few years and could get worse yet.
  17. Typical that this happens when we've got some of the shittest teams the PL has ever seen. Even with the 10 point deduction they're only 5 points from safety, and they're playing pretty well this season so no chance this sends them down, they'll be out the relegation zone by Christmas.
  18. Jackson is so shit I just cant get over him and how he acts, he's the cockiest shit player I've seen, absolutely stealing a living. Good game this, Chelsea much better team
  19. Chelsea are definitely starting to look a lot better like, I think we can beat them but depending on what team we can field it won't be as easy as I think some seem to think. Full strength, aye, we win comfortably but that's not the case
  20. Carragher is right like, Haaland pulls Cucarella out the way to get in front of him and is then pulled down - Haaland committed the four first
  21. I've mentioned this elsewhere and with how good Spurs/Chelsea was to watch for example. I know some don't like certain commentstors and Neville can grate on people etc, but I must say in the era of VAR and everything I much prefer watching premier league football in the TV than in the stadium these days. It's a controversial take and I've never wanted to conform to that "armchair fan" but I've realised the past few weeks/months that its just so much better. You know exactly what's going on, you see things you simply wouldn't see in the stadium, you can follow the game much better and pick up what's happening and if there is a VAR check at least the commentary are doing their best to explain what's happening. Yeah you miss out on the atmosphere, but you can be at home with a few beers and I'm always pretty lively watching games anyway. I went to Wembley for the cup final last year and we lost which obviously didn't help, but the whole experience was just awful, I know Wembley is shit anyway but I'd dreamed of going to watch Newcastle at Wembley for years but when I was there it just felt like I'd rather be at home/the pub. The bars around there are shit, they don't have enough to support 80000+ crowd's and obviously costs are a rip off I had a Season Ticket from 2008 up until last season, didn't go much last year so sacked it off this year, and now even though we're good now and yhe next few years are going to be amazing, I don't regret it one bit, majority of our matches are on TV now anyway and the odd ones that aren't you can stream or I could get a ticket if I really wanted to. I miss the away days a bit but to be fair there's so many dickheads in away fanbases these days more interested in snorting coke that it ruins it anyway. I do go and watch my local non league side regularly so I get the live football fix there, and that's brilliant but for Newcastle I just prefer the TV.
