  1. There's generally one team that when they start like this lead the league all season and come up. They don't look great but they're getting lucky, they've beat Burnley and drew with Leeds, so come through them teams. The teams around them are drawing/losing but Sunderland keep winning. I think they'll carry this on and will come up, Leeds and Burnley are far too inconsistent
  2. Atmospheres are just shite across the board now. The modern day football attending fan is changing, it's shite but it is what it is now. It's not just us. Forest used to be a good atmosphere, Monday night game tonight, and it's shite. There's no stadium in the prem anymore that has a good atmosphere any more. Few minutes here and there it gets loud, places like Villa Park, but then it dies down. I think modern football has played a part in it too, premier league is technically better than it was, but there's no where near as much excitement. The majority of games are boring as fuck. Fans too concerned with recording stuff too, saying they were there, getting the tik tok views, kids there with their pathetic signs asking fro a shirt. Modern football is shite basically.
  3. He's onside until Stones plays the ball, at which point he's miles away from the keeper anyway, that's the point. When he nudged the keeper he wasn't offside as the ball was played from corner.
  4. Nothing wrong with that goal whatsoever like, he's no where near the keeper when the header is made, which is when he would have been offside. Doesn't matter what happened before the ball was played, doesn't matter if he's 50 yards offside at that point, he's not committing an offence until the ball is played
  5. Fancy this title race to be a lot closer this season, City are nowhere near the team they were, Arsenal look vulnerable and Liverpool look a hell of a lot stronger than last season. I'd say Liverpool are favorites based on what I've seen so far this season, albeit early days. Chelsea could be in the mix too, they won't win it but fancy them to be closer to those three. Last couple of seasons City would never have drew with Newcastle and Wolves in their current states.

To be fair Carsley clearly wanted the job when he first came in, I just think the FA then decided he qouldnt be getting it, told him, and then he did that pathetic immature thing we all did when we were kids/some still do now when we don't get something we wanted and just go all "well, I never actually wanted it anyway"

Best thing that could happen to us is a result like this. Hopefully Finland beat us as well. Will ensure Carsley doesn't get the job and we try and appoint a proper manager.
  8. Setting up for a Ten Hag "masterclass" on Sunday to beat a depleted Villa, keeping him in the job for a few weeks longer
  9. As its Spurs, still feel if Man Utd get one back soon they could still draw this
  10. He's an absolute wanker but come on man, that's never a red card. Hilarious that is him and Man Utd but you can't send players off for that. Still, the good thing is now, if Man Utd do lose they'll blame it on the red card and Ten Haag will be blameless.
  11. Man Utd definitely still winning this, it's following all the usual hallmarks, they're absolutely shite, other side are dominating them and all over them but keep missing chance after chance and only have a 1 goal lead. They'll get a jammy equaliser before half time/just after half time and then win it later on
  12. How soon after buying a membership can you try and buy tickets in the general sale etc? I know it used to be instant, buy one, log out and back in etc, but got one this morning and everything is still showing greyed out and sign in on the home games that are on sale. I know there probably isn't any tickets left at the minute but just in general.
  13. Panning out exactly as expected this, City won't equalise here
  14. Actually think it'll benefit Arsenal in a weird way, they're amazing defensively, but with 11 men they'd still be defending the lead but would also be tempted/trying to get a 3rd, now the sole focus of the 2nd half will be defending the 2-1 lead which we know they're amazing at. They've got this
  15. This game is nothing new like, we're in a very false position this season, scraped past a dreadful Southampton, should have been beat by Bournemouth and if Spurs could finish they'd have beaten us too. Defeat here sums up a poor start to the season, transfer window was a joke, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
  16. "Just a broken nose, he'll only be out a couple of weeks" 2 weeks later... 'Further tests have shown Isak has broke his entire face, will be back December 2025"
  17. Also think Arsenal will beat City next week, Haaland won't score as he never does against the top teams and Arsenal's defence is insane, City have shown they will concede this season to so fancy probably the same result as today for Arsenal there.
  18. Arsenal have two players out injured and to listen to the commentary you'd think they'd just played their reserves and won this. Spurs are dreadful, no chance of them being anywhere near the top 4 again this season.
  19. Usually always a shit game this, even when there's goals it's generally a borefest. No idea why Sky seem to pick it every single season.

    - can safely say there's never been a time we've scored a goal (unless against them) and my reaction is to shout fuck you ya mackem bastards. It's stranger still that we're not even in the same league so has no affect on us whatsoever, and that's their reaction. So fucking odd man
  21. I know it's only half an hour, but 1.30 and 4pm kick offs are so much better than 2 and 4.30pm. It just feels right.

    England

Manager has to be English imo. Our problem of course is that we don't have that many good English managers. The problem with going foreign is they will never 100% want England to win if they play their nation. Say it's the World Cup Final, Germany v England. There's no way Jurgen Klopp, competitiveness or not, is wanting to be the bloke that denies his country that. Not saying he'd throw the game per se, but even subconsciously it won't mean as much to him and there'll be a part of him that doesn't want to win. All the other top nations, aside from 1 or 2, (Portugal and Brazil?) have only ever won a Euros or World Cup with a manager of their own nationality too so there's credence to my theory. Again though the problem lies with the lack of quality English managers. As much as it pains me from a club level, if I was a neutral I would be 1000% behind Howe getting the gig.

Will definitely be Carsley who gets the gig, it's the FA way now with how it's all set up. The succession plan and all that. Be extremely underwhelming and will more than likely be more of the same.
  24. Wouldn't say the only attachment for me but aye it's a big part like! Sunday will be amazing if we make it, if not it'll just be a regular final and I probably won't even watch it as will be too gutted; as ever when England go out of a major tournament. That Sunday in 21 when we got to the final was insane
