  1. With the money we've spent we should be able to compete better, even with the amount of games we've had, thats my point. Whilst they've had a minor wobble, Villa for a start have played nearly as many games as us and are comparable. Then you've got sides like Everton, Brentford, Brighton, hell even fucking Sunderland, that whilst they haven't played as many matches, have, or at least should have in theory, much weaker squads than ours, that are better than us in the league. We should be able to manage two games a week with the money we've spent.
  2. Also, its alright saying we're hamstrung by PSR, but teams in a lot worse position than us are performing better, within those restrictions. We've recruited poorly, you can be "hamstrung by PSR" but still compete with smart recruitment. Look at the players Sunderland have for a start, there's some decent players there that will go on to play for decent clubs.
  3. It all depends on how serious PIF and that are about us, im not convinced that they haven't lost interest. If they seriously want us to be competing he'll go this summer as finishing where we're likely to finish, with some of the results we've had are unacceptable. Losing twice to Sunderland wont mean anytbing to PIF mind, they'll be looking at overall, under Shepherd I think Howe would be gone tomorrow. But they'll see no Europe as a disaster and will sack him, go all out for a big name and authorise funds for the summer. If, as I suspect, theyre just not that arsed anymore, I imagine he'll stay, we'll sell a few players, have pittance to spend and just end up around mid table again. We've been a mid table team all season so its where we deserve to finish, my major worry now is that is what we're destined to be.
  4. Summed up how pathetic those on the pitch were today what happened after they got the winner. We still had 7 minutes to play and they still weren't playing with any urgency, absolutely gutless. Losing twice to these is embarrasing, especially after going a goal up
  5. We're in trouble here, crowd have turned, Sunderland have their tails up, only going to end one way if this continues
  6. Been coming since the second we scored. Pathetic
  7. Equaliser coming before half time if we keep playing like this
  8. Backed off after scoring again, why do we do this, we know what happens, just inviting them onto us every time now
  9. O'Nein well out of his depth here
  10. Win it for Wor Brucey today
  11. Just watched the 5-1 highlights again, amazing day that. Slightly soured by when the 5th went in, the celebrations in the row in front of me in the gallowgate caused them all to fall into the aisle (is what it is, laugh it off, get up, we're all buzzing), only for the bloke on the end to accuse someone who fell of touching his daughter in the ruckus, cue some shoving, shouting, and "I'll see you outside after", very odd, all definitely Newcastle fans like! Anyway, anecdote aside, how the fuck has it been 16 years since we beat them at SJP man, fucking disgraceful that, appreciate there's been a few years we didn't play them but still, has to end tomorrow.
  12. Sort of result that costs a manager their job this
  13. Coventry looking very good for promotion
  14. Doesn't have to be Millwall necessarily, more not Ipswich again as theyve been in recently, in saying that Ipswich is a right pain to get to so London is better than that but still.
  15. Still not sure how this will go the closer it gets. For the game at their place I was pretty accepting going in that we'd get beat based on how both teams were performing at the time. This time its different, but it all depends on yhe reaction from Wednesday. As I said earlier in the week, if we'd not played or won, id be fully confident we'd beat these, as it is im just not sure, and the amount of flukey goals they've ended up scoring to win tight games this season is unreal so there's that danger. Saying that, usually when SJP is fully up for it we can blow teams away early on, and im much more confident when we face an Arsenal/Chelsea/Man City at home than I am a Fulham/Palace/Burnley, so if we can make it like thr former we should be ok. Just need to make sure if we do go 1 up, we dont do what we've done so many times and sit back and concede.
  16. Ipswich/Millwall should be a cracker at 12.30, much preferring this one over Brighton Liverpool today. Hopefully Millwall win, would rather something different in the Prem next season.
  17. Wouldn't want Wolt on the bench let alone starting up front, christ no
  18. Impossible to predict this, despite the football clichés this derby does usually tend to go to the team in form at the time. Had we not played last night/or won id have been fairly confident of a win, coming off the back of beating Chelsea and these losing to Brighton. However last night throws it up in the air completely for me. All depends how we react and if we show up. Probably 1-1.
  19. Shame this as the City game had potential to be decent, now its all over, same with Chelsea, funny but no drama
  20. Scenes in the Dundee derby, United 2 nil up after 94 mins and ends 2-2, been a decent league the SPL this year.
  21. Pickford howler, Arsenal's league to lose
  22. Coventry on the verge of the Premier League and there's no end of empty seats in the Home end, large gaps dotted all round the stadium. Know its a night game but really poor to see. Theyre playing Preston so the away end is pretty sparse too, shame.
  23. Looking at who's left it would be nice to get Sunderland out here, they could easily go all the way and only have to play two out of Leeds, Norwich, Southampton, West Ham and Brentford to get there.
  24. Awful cup fixtures today aside from Rangers Celtic. Not sure even the fans of the respective teams playing will be that arsed to watch, let alone neutrals
