Some players who have been good, loyal and effective servants for us in the last would have shed a tear or two seeing what they saw on Monday knowing that they won't be here next season to enjoy it again. Yes. Totally forgot that 5.30pm slot and we have had it before for the opening day. Apart from that, since Sky have the slot but rarely use it, give us Saturday 8pm. That'd be great with Wor Flags opening display at night. You can put your house on it, there is NO fucking WAY will we start the season on Saturday 3:00pm regardless of the opposition home or away. Sky or BT will want our opening game to either see us fall with new signings or win with the money spent on players at the start of our road to success. No way we'll be on Soccer Saturday watching with Paul fucking Merson stumbling through his words to give us an update on the score.

To me, what makes it special is to see players like Ritchie and Hayden and Gayle and Jonjo and Kraft and Dummett, players who had an absolute torrid time under Bruce, being part of such a great team now under Howe and no matter how little contribution they may have made or not this season, they'll be in the class of 2022. Actually, wanted them to stay in League 1 more because it somehow makes them relevant. They're everyone's cup final and I take a bit of interest following that league and they'll be near the top most of the time. If they go up, they'll just be another team in the Championship. Plenty more stronger and better teams in there and it'd be hard trying to find them in mid table or near the bottom. Come on Wycombe!
