  1. Huge wins for Derby and Luton in the Championship relegation battle this evening.
  2. Extra Time for Liverpool Don't care if Liverpool win or lose from here (Would prefer the loss) I just wanted them to get forced to play another 30 minutes.
  3. A Liverpool Corner right in the last minute, you know whats going to happen.
  4. Just noticed this ref is the same from the 4-1 win Vs PSG.
  5. Obviously it's only half time, but I do find it interesting how this tie has been the first real challenge of Slots Liverpool reign, and so far over the two legs, they're coming up short. They're a weird teams as you can't be too critical, as they've basically done what they've needed, and have been far and away the best team in the Premier League, but they've never really blown anyone away, they've just been really efficient in how they play, I've never watched them and been overly impressed, it kind of just feels like they've had everything handed to them so far this season, while they've gone through the motions and accepted the gift. It just makes me think that the presumption in the media is that they're the best team in Europe may be wide of the mark, and the quality of the Premier League has dipped this season.

    Harvey Barnes

A hypothetical for everyone, with Barnes there has been a lot of discussion about how his £40M wasn't worth it, and it was a waste of funds, which as much as I like Barnes I tend to agree with, but if he scores the winner on Sunday, does that fee become worth it, and that talk dissipate?
  7. Nottingham Forest 1-1 Newcastle United (3-4 Pens) Newcastle United 1-0 AFC Wimbeldon Newcastle United 2-0 Chelsea Newcastle United 3-1 Brentford Arsenal 0-2 Newcastle United Newcastle United 2-0 Arsenal Liverpool....
  8. Are they creating a football stadium or another Butlins?
  9. I love how on back to back days, the owner simultaneously said they needed to cut 300 jobs otherwise they'd go out of business, then followed it up by announcing a 100000 all seater stadium
  10. "Very poor" It probably the weakest part of his management style, but come on man
  11. If the choice was win a cup but not get Champions League, or fail to win the club but get Champions League, i'm choosing the cup every single day of the week. I've seen us in the Champions League, i've never seen us win a cup. Personally I think that if there is any Newcastle fan picking Champions League qualification in that scenario, they need to be checked into Arkham.
  12. I don't normally mind Dave Jones, but "Do you believe you can win on Sunday?" may be the single stupidest question i've heard since Luke Edwards asked Howe if worked out
  13. In terms of looking forward to the game next week, this game ticked every box you could have asked for really. A Win to build confidence. A Clean sheet to give our shakey defense & Pope a boost. A goal involvement for Barnes coming into the 11. Not having to get out of 2nd gear and overly exert ourselves. No obvious injuries.
  14. Absolutely tragic game of football that, would want my Sky Money back if I where a neutral. That said, a clean sheet and 3 points away from home, and it shouldn't be understated how important that victory is, not only does it arrest our worrying Premier League form, but it gets confidence into the team, and defense going into next week. West Ham where so poor, I can't remember a more comfortable 1-0 win from the point we scored, they had nothing. Tonali and Barnes my two players of the match.
  15. Very definition of "A half that happened" that. Very dull, we've done alright in possession without any sort of final ball. They look like they could occasionally break, but are already on the beach.
  16. For me, it's quite simple, she oversaw the most enjoyable time I've had supporting the club, she cared and wanted nothing but the best for it, we overspent on a few players sure, but bar a few they've basically all been really good business so who gives a shit? She left the club in a much better position then when she found it and that's all that really matters, and some artificial spending rules aren't going to change that.
  17. B - He's been one of the most consistent performances along with Isak and Burn. Has bags more potential too.
  18. I was just basing it on the list of managers in the above graphic, Hughton would be number 5 if I was doing a actual list not based on a WUM post
  19. Based on that list, my version is: 1) Kevin Keegan 2) Sir Bobby Robson 3) Eddie Howe - Could be number 1 this time next week. 4) Rafael Benitez 5) Alan Pardew 6) Glenn Roeder 7) Graeme Souness 8) Sam Allardyce 9) Steve Bruce I didn't know where to put Kenny Dalglish, as he was before my time, so just omitted him.
  20. He isn't currently, but I think if he where to go to an Everton and start 30 games, he wouldn't look out of place.
