All true, of course. You still needed a favour from us on the final day. Case reopened briefly, but now closed again.
-
No, an extra place isn't created if the teams who win the European trophies have already qualified via league position. You can have 7 teams in the CL, but only if the CL and EL are won by English teams who have finished outside the top 5.
-
Bonk said we never do you any favours. We did you a favour. If Villa beat us, you were in the Europa League. Case closed.
-
You're playing Barcelona tomorrow night because we beat Villa for you on the last day of the season.
-
Are you talking about Brentford? If not you have a very short memory.
-
Just realised Sunderland are bottom three in expected points too.
-
Villa have an expected points of 36 and are sitting on 51. It's quite remarkable really and they're a poor side in reality. Don't hate seeing them get knocked down a peg or two. I do think Newcastle are in with a shout. Liverpool still have to play us at Old Trafford and then have Chelsea and Villa. There'll be a lot of dropped points from the teams in front of you.
-
Would Sunderland throw the last game of the season to stop you getting CL, that's the question.
-
Have a look at Chelsea's fixtures. You could.

Osula is alright from what I seen of him.

Aye I had a feeling it would be to do with effort. Elanga might not play well but effort will never be an issue with him. 3 months out with an injury before you kick a ball for a new club is difficult to recover from mind.
-
Genuine question, but why is Elanga getting more patience than Wissa? Seems like there's a negative opinion of Wissa but a lot of people jumping to Elanga's defence and even praising him when he does the bare minimum. Wissa has contributed more than Elanga from a stats viewpoint, and also had an injury to deal with. He have a bad attitude?

The only bad thing about Spurs being shite is that Arsenal fans are happy.
-
Have to say I'm a bit frustrated. It looked for a moment there that Howe might be hounded out by the fickle part of your fanbase and we'd have a clear run at him in the summer. Looks like he's turning it around.

It's been something that's been parroted about on here for years. I did a breakdown maybe a year or two ago of Newcastle's cup draws compared to Chelsea (I think), and the draws were comparable. Imagine telling a team that got City away in both cups that they're corrupt and paying for easy draws.

24/25: FA Cup: Morecambe at home but then Brighton away in 4th round EFL Cup: Barrow at home but then Newcastle away in 4th round 23/24: FA Cup: Preston at home then Villa at home in 4th round EFL Cup: A nice run of home ties but plenty of PL opposition 22/23: FA Cup: City away first game EFL Cup: City away first game Sounds like they need to pay more. (there's no corruption)

"The likes of your owners." You mean 80% of the league? Also, isn't it "fair market value." Who's judging that? You can absolutely game the system still and have an advantage over most other clubs since your owners own multiple clubs
-
Your owners own an entire league. They could play the game if they wanted to.
-
City are much better than Barca. They've been class here.

Emi Martinez doing a Tonali.
