I honestly liked Veron. It's made out that he was a flop and I never agreed with it. Always say he was more underwhelming given the reputation he was coming with. Aye it was. Was a fair bit after the incident. Martinez is a dirty bastard and has that sort of thing in his locker but I don't think there was any intent with this one. It was a really poor decision, and one of many last night, but ultimately not something we can blame the result on. The first half reminded me of the 0-2 against Newcastle in December 2024. Just completely blown away in the first half and lucky it was only 2. We unfortunately didn't have Mainoo to bring in this time to steady the ship.
