  1. Real Madrid Atletico Madrid Barcelona Man City Arsenal Bayern Munich Dortmund PSG That's a fairly stellar lineup for the CL like.
  2. Sparta were more of a threat than we will be.
  3. They've wanted him for ages. Would be a good level for him.
  4. I don't think he did like. Only reason he touches the ball is because it deflects off Mac Allister first. I think it's a clear and obvious foul.
  5. He did not get the ball first. The ball hits of Mac Allisters chest first and on to Doku's foot, which is already planted into Mac Allister's chest.
  6. A clear penalty. Most importantly to begin, Mac Allister played the ball first. Under the rules though, it's a foul at any point if you play the ball but in doing so can risk injury to your opponent. Even if they feel the need to back out of the challenge because of an injury risk, that's considered a foul under law 12. That's why it almost always results in a free when the foot is above waist height. The natural movement here wasn't even to kick the ball away, it was to lead forward and head it. If that was given against Newcastle or us we would be screaming bloody murder and rightly so. Even if it's a natural movement, look at how high his foot is. You can't kick people in the chest and saying "he ran into his foot" is one of the weakest arguments I've ever heard. Studs shouldn't be hanging around at chest height to be ran into, especially in 50/50 challenges. A lot of anti-Liverpool bias on show here I feel. A stonewall pen.
  7. Mark Ogden must be bored today.
  8. There's no way we'd risk this. The governing bodies will be looking for any excuse to punish us. Look what happened with Greenwood, Antony and Ronaldo.
  9. I have zero confidence this in this defence until Martinez and Shaw are back, which is April at the earliest if they come back at all. We will drop a lot of points.
  10. At the minute, no. There's no guarantee England get the fifth spot.
  11. I've officially moved into "the jury's out" thought process. The injuries he's had to deal with this season are ridiculous and whenever he gets players back we seem to go on a decent run. 21 different CB combinations this season from 27 games. We're forced to play Jonny Evans away to City with Lindelof at left back. I'd like to give him a bit more time, but by more time I don't mean another season. I'm actually pinpointing the Newcastle game for a decision as we'll have had a few tough games around then and that game against you will likely decide whether we get into Europe or not. Saying that, I do find it hard to continue to back a manager who's saying these sort of things to the press. The faith waivered earlier in the season when he said he wouldn't try and implement the Ajax style of football at us because the club and players dictate the style. He constantly comes out after bad defeats and says we played well, even though it's never the case. I understand trying to protect the players but half the team are a bunch of soft cunts that are overprotected and it shows. Rashford is a joke and all like. I actually cringed a bit when he scored that goal yesterday, especially since he did that players tribune interview. He proved shortly after that it was nothing but a fluke. Fluffed two chances that most decent strikers would have converted and then was constantly hurling himself to the ground because he couldn't handle getting absolutely bossed by Walker. He was zero help to Lindelof as well. They destroyed our left hand side the same way Fulham did and the same way Villa did. Must win on Saturday now for Ten Hag you'd think, as we'll be out of the FA Cup next week.
  12. Getting a point there would have been criminal. Not playing the same sport.
  13. What do you mean he messed up. isn't that what xG is all about. Haaland messed up an open goal but it was still 0.89.
  14. Rashfords two chances being a combined 0.19 is ridiculous. He was clean through on goal and scuffed another from 6 yards out.
  15. If you think we are going to win this game you're in cuckoo land.
  16. I cringe when I see that tackle. Barbaric. He only got an 8 game ban. Should have been a lot longer IMO.
  17. I like it actually. Clear agenda against us given that we'll be facing 8 time European Champions across two rounds.
  18. Aye a shit hand this season I would agree, but cup draws balance themselves out. Someone made a point last season of how Chelsea always get easy draws and Newcastle get shafted and I made a post showing all the draws in both cups for the last 10-15 years which showed it just isn't true and the two records were fairly similar. I think this season for you is as hard as it gets mind.
  19. Milan and Dortmund are shadows of the teams they were, and to use the fact they've won European Cups in the past as a metric of how difficult the draws are now is silly. They're still obviously good sides and you'd much rather draw teams like Copenhagen. Your cup draws this season have been very unforgiving and I don't think anyone would suggest otherwise.
  20. What is this 54? In that case, we had a really hard fought win against a former two time European Champion last night.
