Obviously you can't continue with form like 2 points in your last 24. But it will improve. Patience is all it takes and we have plenty of it. Every fan I know has complete trust in Amorim.
-
He did inherit a shit show, has changed system mid-season and his only signing so far is a 20 year old from Serie A. Need to give him time. There's lots of moving parts and it's a big summer. If our current league form carries into next season he'd be gone by Christmas with or without a trophy.

What was Jewell's record in Europe that season?
-
It's Rashford's fault.
-
Muting is for fannies.

Depends how you want to look at it. You were incredible that opening 20 minutes, but felt the rest of the game was very competitive and we should have scored at least two with those chances, especially Casemiro's one. Still think Tonali's shot that hit the post could have been one of the goals of the season. Properly tore us apart there.
-
Garnacho - that's just a fact? How many players under 21 have more than 21 goal involvements this season? Casemiro - has been brilliant in Europe. I said he's been much, much better in the league since Amorim brought him properly into the team, which wasn't until the start of the year Ugarte - aye that's true. He's defensive player and he does the dog work that Casemiro isn't capable of anymore. Amad - anyone who doesn't think he's quality is an idiot, and he's been injured for a large part of the season The only Bruno - I don't need to talk about him. He's spent half the season playing as a deep midfielder and has more goal contributions than your crown jewel striker Also mate don't be silly, we're not doing well in the league. We have a keeper who throws goals in, we have a CB collection that can't stay fit, we have wing backs who are shit and a striker who doesn't score goals. Two managers, two new systems, European football to deal with etc. etc. We'll see you next season son. The ghost of Fergie will spur us on.

Yeah, feel sick.
-
But they told me Bilbao were good?
-
Trying not to think of the final. Feel sick every time I do.
-
Feels mental you haven't qualified for the Europa League yet.
-
21 goal contributions for a 19/20 year old in all competitions is not "ok." We have unrealistic expectations on teenagers now if that's considered OK.
-
Yeah in the first 20 minutes, as I said. If you think the game was won at 2-0 then fair play to you. You rode your luck massively after that sub, with huge missed chances from Casemiro, Hojlund and then Maguire hitting the post. Not even sure you even had a shot after that sub. Amad is class aye.
-
A lot of very selective views here. So in a discussion about Garnacho's value, we're just going to ignore everything he's done outside the Premier League? And do goals against teams like Leicester not matter then? 50% of Isak's goal contributions have come against the bottom 6 sides in the league. Guess he's overvalued as well? A players season isn't defined by the league, so not sure why you're focusing on that. If that's the case, maybe we can just scrub the League Cup this season when talking about Newcastle? A 20 year old having 21 goal contributions is good no matter what way you try and look at it. No need to bring Yamal into this either, you're probably talking about the best player in the world there.

I'm not saying we're immune to being beaten in midfield. You absolutely didn't run over us in midfield at Old Trafford though, outside of the first 20 minutes. As soon as Mainoo came on for Zirkzee it was a different game. Also if I remember correctly both goals came down our right, from two crosses into the box. The 4-1 game, where we rested half the side because it was sandwiched between the two Lyon games, aye you absolutely did run over us in midfield that day.
-
It doesn't. It's a lazy comparison to the side under Ten Hag when the midfield was hopelessly exposed and Casemiro was being asked to sprint up and down the pitch as a lone DM. That just isn't the case under Amorim. The midfield is much more compact. The exposure in this system is coming from the wings, not central midfield. Dalot isn't a good enough wing back and Dorgu is extremely raw. That combined with a striker who doesn't score = a lot of defeats.
-
Casemiro was overweight at the start of the year and given the run around under Ten Hag. That hasn't been the case under Amorim, in Europe or in the league. He's lost weight and been much, much better. You also like making a point of it being a second tier European competition but the truth is you'd give your left nut to win it, and the winners list of that trophy is littered with huge clubs. Mainoo has been injured for large parts of this season, so a bit harsh to criticise him when he's not had a good run in the team. Garnacho also has 11 goals and 10 assists this season as a 20 year old. Mental that opposition fans are happy to criticise that and say it's not good enough. I daresay that's one of the best returns from an under 21 player in world football? It's more than what Gordon has managed this season and your fans were suggesting he's an £80m player when Liverpool were interested? Be consistent. This is surface level knowledge of our club, and well off the mark. You've went after all the wrong players. Had you criticised Hojlund or Dalot you might have been on to something. You're right about Onana at least, and no amount of coaching is going to save him. He is stone fucking useless and has singlehandedly cost us dozens of points in the league and in Europe over the last two seasons.
-
I would expect us to continue paying something similar to what we have been, which is about £75k a week. Highly unlikely that he takes a pay cut to move.
-
He hasn't done OK in UEL games, he has been brilliant. Give the man credit where it's due. We're in the final and he's been a huge reason for that. If we lose to Spurs and still want to revamp the squad, we'll likely sell one of Mainoo or Garnacho to do it. Any fee for Rashford is pure profit as well. A good summer of sales and we will be able to spend a lot.
-
Been a decent player. Never looked great but has never really been bad and is still playing a part. Time for him to go but I'll be a bit sad when he leaves.
-
Not true. He's been one of our best players since Amorim came in, and is probably the second name on the team sheet after Fernandes. The extra protection offered to the midfield by Ugarte has allowed him to focus on what he's good at. We're all aware his wages are mental, but 99% of fans want him to stay now until his contract ends. He's been a different player since Ten Hag left, not to mention that he's a serial winner. Rashford, Sancho, Eriksen, Lindelof, Evans and Heaton will almost certainly leave. Antony I wouldn't mind getting another crack to be honest, but don't mind if he's sold either and his performances in Spain will have boosted his value. It's well over a million in wages saved when they leave though. Alvaro Carreras looks likely to sign for Madrid as well, and we've put a huge sell-on clause in the contract when he was sold to Benfica. Should be another decent uplift there,
-
At risk of running out of cash* Also won't be anywhere near £200m without sales.
-
Think Cunha is a no brainer and a great signing. But I'm very wary of Delap. I know he's cheap, but he's also young and feel like we need someone with experience to lead the line. The pressure to be the main man crippled Hojlund this year.
-
Especially when they don't exist.
-
It's Man United mate.
