Look Kenny, when all is said and done, our banter era has brought us two league cups, two FA Cups and a Europa League. That would be your golden era. Merry Christmas.

All fair points. Some I disagree with, some I don't. Amad can play wing back with no issues, I don't think Garnacho has the discipline for it though.

Didn't read the article did you Dokko. You should know better than to mindlessly screenshot sensationlist headlines from the British press.

Win the ball, give it to Bruno. Does what he's told.

Ugarte is class. Pick on someone else. Can we go back to Rashford or Antony?
-
Okay so what about last season? Manuel Ugarte's total of 98 tackles was the highest by anyone in Ligue 1 last season; and he managed it despite starting only 21 games out of 34, for a team, in Paris Saint-Germain, who spent roughly 66 per cent of the time in possession.

It would appear opposition fans have a very different view of Amorim that we have. He's the perfect character for the job. Whether he has the talent or not remains to be seen, but he hasn't uttered a single word out of place so far despite the immense scrutiny that comes with the role. I don't think the squad needs as much as people think either, and it's very young. Would hope we can get rid of Shaw, Rashford, Antony, Casemiro and Eriksen in the next 6-7 months to free up some pocket money and invest in players suited to Amorim's system, starting with a LWB.

Why? He doesn't shy away from performances. He's honest and says we play well when we play well, and when we're shit he's say we're shit. It was one of the things I hated most about Ten Hag. We would win a game 1-0 from a moment of brilliance, but concede 20+ shots and be completely outplayed for 85 minutes and he'd say we deserved to win and that we'd be in a title race if Garnacho wasn't offside in a game that was 4 months ago. Would you want him to publicly throw players under the bus? Especially if we're looking to sell a high PSR asset such as Rashford. I feel like publicly attacking him would be bad for everyone involved, and would come under more criticism from everybody else. Garnacho was heavily rumoured to be leaking lineups. He was also liking posts on social media critcising his own teammates, which is completely unacceptable. Despite this, he's obviously put his head down and he's went straight back into the squad.

I am a good jinx. There's no way this year you finish 5th and then we win the Europa League. No way that happens.

Not for this one. I wouldn't be waiting for an extremely defensive midfielder to be scoring goals, son.

Do you ask your postman to fix your car like?
-
Aye you've just described the opposite of Ugarte under Amorim. he's been everywhere for us. Get Bobby to get the stats for you. He loves stats. No idea what he was like in the Copa America and I don't care.
-
Howe and Bruce pretty similar too tbf.
-
You don't see the bigger picture Bobby son. No offence. You were questioning Howe a couple of weeks ago off the back of a couple of bad results. If you've been watching us and haven't seen any good performances under Amorim, you're either blinded by hate or just don't know ball bro. Thankfully for you I'm going to stick you in the first category.
-
Bournemouth had to rely on us missing the best chances of the game. It's usually the other way around for us. That's what's encouraging and why there's no panic. Nobody expected an overnight fix anyway. Ugarte has been unreal as well. Not sure you're appreciating that side of the game or if you just don't watch us, which is fair. Only thing I agree with you on is Zirkzee. I don't think he has what it takes at all, certainly not as a #9. Hojlund all day every day in that role for me.
-
I did not. Unlike the 0-3 last season, we were the better side today. You have to think we'll start taking these chances. Maybe not of course, but usually if you're dominating games and creating chance after chance, it comes good eventually. Feel like Newcastle fans should be able to relate to that.

We're all good. When we were picking up wins in Ten Hag's latter seasons we weren't deserving of them. The performances were rarely there. We're performing a lot better now, even if the results aren't there yet.

Your fanbase did though.
