I don't really get it. We've had a big turnover of attackers at the club, with a lot of them only staying a year or two. The stat makes out like he's scored 50 goals at Old Trafford when in reality he's scored less than our fat, old DM Casemiro who's only been there since 2022. Still a good record like. Think he's scored 16 in 18 against us home and away.

Palmer isn't remotely close to the ability of Fernandes. You're not playing Bruno out of position to facilitate him. If he was available for a decent price I wouldn't say no though.

Some managers flourish in those environments though. Ones where you're working with a limited budget but are simultaneously not under a great deal of pressure to win cups or finish in European spots. Iraola could finish 9th forever and they'd probably be happy with that. There's no guarantees whatsoever he would do well if he was handed £200m a season.

Absolutely. Feels like the amount of control Eddie has at you is part of the reason he's starting to fail, but he wouldn't have any of that at us. As a coach I don't think there is much better out there. If we could manage to convince Luis Enrique to come he's the absolute #1 choice, after that I'd be very interested in Howe. Not sure if I'd take him over Nagelsmann, but it's a no brainer over Carrick/De Zerbi/Glasner in my opinion. Iraola is a bit of a wild card.

To be fair, the discussion was about this particular player being linked with my club. It's just deviated from that for various reasons. I'm happy to not engage anymore as I'm aware I have the tendency to get carried away when people start criticising my club.
