  1. It's not even close to enough unless there's serious clauses included.
  2. Yeah they do talks at the ground the odd time and sometimes show new signings about etc. Silly wee jobs a few times a year.
  3. They're "global ambassadors." These cuts are fair IMO.
  4. From their academy alone the last two summer windows: Palmer - £43m Charles - £10m Trafford - £15m Forbs - £12m Harwood-Bellis - £20m Delap - £15m That's £115m of pure profit PSR wise. They can spend a fortune off the back of that alone and that's not even including the Alvarez deals plus the sales of Mahrez/Laporte/Cancelo to Saudi. They are golden for a while yet.
  5. Leipzig have no chance of signing him.
  6. He said in the same sentence, "I know you want headlines. There's your headline." You could almost say it was a tongue in cheek remark based on that. Maybe he does need to clarify what he said mind, and I'm sure he'll be asked about it before the next match in the press conference so will be given the opportunity to do so. I agree with what he said though, that in this moment in time we're being the worst team in Man United history. I know we've been relegated before, but the form we're in is relegation form. I'm sure this is what he meant.
  7. I would disagree. I thought Alvarez was class, and £14m for him was outstanding business.
  8. Alvarez had 100+ apps in two seasons and scored over 30 goals. It's just good scouting. Nothing else.
  9. I have more than one friend Shay.
  10. City had huge sales in the summer and only bought Savinho. Big sales on academy players like Delap (£15m) and Harwood-Bellis (£20m) plus huge profit on Julian Alvarez (~£70m).
  11. Worst thing is, it's my mate who does the voiceover for these.
  12. £57m for someone who doesn't even start. It's insane out there now.
  13. Can't argue. It's totally reliant on sales. If we sell Rashford or Garnacho for anything significant we'll be able to spend a fortune though.
  14. We desperately need another CM to partner Ugarte. Mainoo is very good, but he still needs a lot of development and needs to be protected. Ugarte is doing all of that work himself in there at the minute, and Mainoo isn't offering enough going forward for that to be acceptable. In terms of importance I think it's the following: LWB - Doesn't need any explanation. We don't really have a suitable left back that can stay fit. CM - As mentioned above. Needs more depth to let Mainoo develop properly. Eriksen and Casemiro too old. CF - Hojlund is 21 and not yet ready to be the starting striker. Zirkzee is 23 and more of a #10 IMO. RWB - Dalot might be alright here as he has the pace, but would need depth either way as Mazraoui is too slow. Mazraoui would be more of a squad player for numerous positions. GK - Onana is SHIT. CAM - Someone to backup Bruno and Amad. It's going to take a few windows.
  15. I'm not saying we only need wing backs, I'm just saying they're the only specialised positions that might not fit into a future team without Amorim at the helm.
  16. Any CB or #10 bought for a 3-4-3 will be able to play in any formation that requires CB's or #10's, which these days is all of them.
  17. I think people are reading into this a bit much. The only specialised players for this system that don't fit into others are the wing backs. It's not like money is going to be spent on 11 players who won't be able to play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2.
  18. This season. Would expect a huge improvement next season. Anything like what's happening now and he'd be gone by November IMO. We're literally the reigning FA Cup champions of the world.
  19. Probably a combination of both but more the former. He has looked absolutely gassed when he's been playing and is well off the pace. 18 months is a massive amount of time to miss. We're trying to send him out on loan this month to another Premier League club so I think he could have a future, but it's more likely he's moved on and replaced.
  20. He'll definitely be playing LWB.
  21. Our fans are the ones who want Amorim to continue with his style. It's your fans who think he should change.
  22. Worth noting he didn't say it's the worst Man United side ever, he said we're being the worst Man United side ever, i.e. performing as bad as the worst Man United side ever.
  23. I think it makes perfect sense that Amorim doesn't get any blame. Yet. He's doing things we've been begging for for ages as well, i.e. binning the likes of Antony and Rashford and making players like Amad the focus. I find his honesty refreshing, even if opposition fans find it jarring. Ten Hag was full of excuses whereas Amorim just says it how it is. If the players can't handle that, then they're not up to it. I would expect a lot of movement around transfers in the summer, and he'll get another season to improve significantly. Not going to lie and say I expected it to be this bad when he came in though. It's worse than I expected, and we wouldn't put up with this next season after he gets a summer window to get some of his own players in.
  24. That's on Ratcliffe if he wants to go that route. You can't bring in an exciting new manager who has a specific style then sack him after 10 weeks because it's not clicked immediately.
