That's on Ratcliffe if he wants to go that route. You can't bring in an exciting new manager who has a specific style then sack him after 10 weeks because it's not clicked immediately.
-
Nope I agree with the manager. He's been brought in to play his way, so play it. No point adapting like Ten Hag did and gaining a false position and then trying to retrain players in pre-season. He can't bring in 11 new players. I think if he went back to Ole ball for the rest of the season it would leave him far too much to do in the summer. He's playing his way, and he's giving everyone a chance. Even Antony despite having one foot out the door has had multiple chances. He's just confirming who will be here next season and who won't be IMO.

Meh. De Ligt, Maguire, Ugarte, Amad and Fernandes playing well. The rest not so much. Team is still riddled with mental midgets who can't keep concentration for 90 minutes. Wing backs are terrible. Mazraoui was brilliant first half of the season but has started to regress. Dalot out of position and playing awful on the left. Yoro was toasted by Sulemana but Mazraoui offered him zero protection, and he was destroyed by Mitoma again yesterday. Feels like this system needs 3-4 signings, which is only happening if Rashford and/or Garnacho are sold. The league is just one big training session for us now and it's all about the Europa League and FA Cup. EDIT: Sorry, harsh on Mazraoui with Sulemana. It was Amad who didn't give him help. Mazraoui was on the other side because Dalot was suspended.

Would be hard to disagree with to be honest. It feels like Amorim still has no clue what his best eleven is. Yoro was moved to LCB today. De Ligt moved to RCB. Dalot kept on the left despite us knowing Mitoma's pace would be an issue. Will probably start Hojlund next game, as he can't decide between him and Zirkzee. Ugarte is nailed on and important but Mainoo was fortunate to start IMO. But we end up going behind and then they both need to be sacrificed as they're too defensive. Feels like Fernandes dropping deep into midfield beside Ugarte was the shout today but it's all hindsight. In essence, Amorim has his idea, but not the slightest idea on who should play where. He has said this week they've still only had 7 training sessions and that the rest of the season will be a rollercoaster, but just how much can he do in a preseason?

Maybe 15 ago years that that's what shite meant.

If we're wanting to talk seriously this is it in a nutshell. We can be very dangerous, but it's never for sustained periods and there's always a mistake from someone or a terrible performance. It was Yoro against Southampton. It was Onana today. God I hate Onana sometimes. Like what the fuck was that today. Game was dead when that happened.
-
You're right you know. It's not like us to win cups when we're shite.
-
It shouldn't be Spurs like, but who knows in cups. I'm hoping we can have a go at winning it.
-
Easily the worst. £80m on Antony. £45m on Onana. Of course Amorim gets backing though. Despite all of this we still have a semi decent chance of Champions League football through the Europa League. The current favourites for it are Spurs. Nick that, a full pre-season and some fresh lambs and it can turn fairly quickly.

He's as close to it as Isak is to top scorer, so I'd say yes? He might not get the chance to win it before I kill him
-
Well the main problem, I think, is that we're pure shite.
-
Almost as bad as Arsenal's "we gave it a good go" trophy.
-
How Onana makes me feel.
-
I had you down as a good poster but you've been fairly shit today. Hi Neesy mate. You got over yesterday quick.

"Best striker in the world" and took nearly 90 minutes to even have a shot at home to Bournemouth. He owes me a tenner.

The talk is Mainoo is demanding £200k a week. I don't think there's much wrong with him coming to terms with the fact that's a sellable asset. It might ground him a bit.
-
Around the half hour mark Southampton had an attack and Ugarte just jogged back when he was in a position to track back. Amorim gave him dogs abuse and I'm fairly sure that was reason for the sub, but Mainoo was much worse than him last night. Ugarte has been one of best players in recent weeks, but he's 23 and not immune to a poor performance. I'm not reading into it too much.

Apparently this new deal is close to £500,000 a week.

My boy.

I think the Spurs game this season was much, much worse to be honest. Fernandes getting a red card maybe makes it look like it wasn't as bad, but we were getting torn to shreds before that anyway. Wolves game was worse than last night as well IMO. Also reckon the opening half hour against yourselves is probably the worst half hour I've ever seen from us but Mainoo coming on saved that from being an embarassment. I think we were poor last night, and Southampton had chances, but people seem to be glossing over the amount of chances we had ourselves. We've had games where we've created absolutely nothing and just sleepwalked to a defeat.
