Dem compilations on youtube. I think the compilations on Juninho are far more impressive to be honest. The technique he uses in striking the ball and the swerve he generates is ridiciulous. I know who I prefer watching anyway but it's up for debate who was better.

Is gotten a real word?

The last two mentioned and Beckham are as good as it's ever gotten.

Siniša Mihajlović is where it's at for Serie A free kick takers of the late 90s.

De Gea Jones Ferdinand Vidic Rooney Scholes Valencia Anderson Young Van Persie Hernandez Do it. Honestly think we'll inflict a heavy defeat on Sunderland and NUFC will get a draw from City. Let's help each other out here.

He actually holds the record at scoring in 6 consecutive Clasicos. Big game flop.

Nonsense. Are you saying there isn't an art to taking penalties? There is a reason Rooney takes our penalties and not Rafael. There's a reason Arteta takes the penalties for Arsenal and not Mertesacker. When he played in the EPL, Ronaldo took something like ten penalties in a row that were ALL in the bottom left corner. The goalkeeper knew it was going there, everyone in the stadium knew it was going there, but it was hit with such precision and pace and it was unstoppable. Ronaldo takes incredible penalties. It is absolutely a plus point and something that warrants inclusion in regards to rating a footballer. Agree with you almost everything Neil except this. In the last few seasons Ronaldo has bulked up and put on a lot of muscle which has restricted his movement a little, but he still has a lot of skill and more than enough to beat players, which we have seen on numerous occasions. This aspect on his game is absolutely nowhere near the likes of Messi and Iniesta, but it's still top class IMO. In fact, in his earlier years at us he only seen as a trickster who tried to beat opponents. His skill was mental, just back in those days his end product wasn't great. This one is obviously debatable enough though, unlike the penalty argument. This is a really poor comment IMO. The first part isn't recent at all. Off the top of my head, he scored important goals in the league against Arsenal, Chelsea and City in his first few years with us. 2008 CL final he scored the opener. Two goals in the Club World Club final later in the year. The year after we got the final and he scored crucial goals in the knockouts against Inter and the winner (voted goal of the year) against Porto. International wise he scored in the Euro 2004 semi. Voted in team of the tournament aged 19. He's basically carried Portugal to all of the tournaments as well, scoring a massive amount in each of the qualifying campaigns. Joint top scorer in Euro 2012 and team of the tournament again. He scores in big games. It was a completely off the mark claim. He's show this by scoring the winner in the Copa del Rey and consecutive Clasicos. This sums it up perfectly. It's just a case of people being so spellbound by Messi that they're forgetting there's another couple of geniuses in the footballing World. I'm actually disgusted that some people think he's just a powerful guy who hits the ball really hard. Fucking hell man. The guy is magic.

It's a glorified friendly. I'm disgusted at those prices. If I can't get a category B ticket in the next ticket sale I'll probably miss out.
-
Tickets for the pre-season match between Man United and the A-League Allstars in Australia went on sale this morning at 9am. 15,000 tickets sold out within 2 minutes. Tickets on Ebay already with prices of $2000 for two tickets.

Who do your work colleagues support? Fulham Arsenal x2 Everton Chelsea West Ham Working with a scouser in London? Surprised there isn't a Man Utd or Liverpool fan. Yeah, those cunts are everywhere.

The injuries ruined him even before he went to Real sadly, was great to watch in his prime though. I'm also now willing to stick my neck out and say that Iniesta is as good as Zidane was, maybe even better due to the consistency that he shows and the fact that he has a better temperament. Iniesta is incredible. Such incredible close control and vision. In the last few weeks he's been in absolutely scintillating form as well, as good as Messi. He also has a knack of scoring extremely important goals, i.e. Chelsea in Champions League, World Cup Final etc. Easily the third best player in the World.

Devastating ability and another player who was virtually unstoppable at his peak. Said before on here when we played against him in the CL, we were absolutely helpless. We could generally deal with Milan everywhere else on the park but where he went, magic happened. His pace with the ball at his feet was dynamite and he was extremely intelligent. The goal where he heads the ball between two of our defenders is an example of his determination, composure and overall genius as a whole. He was doing that for fun for the best part of two years. Loved him in his prime, and was sad to see his decline.

Cronaldo is absolutely one of the best ever for me. Messi is a class above, but fucking hell, Ronaldos level is absolutely incredible and I think it does speak a lot that he's done it in England as well. 42 in 47 the year we won the CL. The tag that he doesn't score in big games was incredibly off the mark as well. Someone else also said he doesn't have an all round game? That is lunacy. He is a physical machine who scores a massive amount of goals, is lightning fast, can cross, can dribble, can take free kicks, can score penalties and can head the ball extremely well. He's getting under-rated now because of Messi, which is nothing but stupidity. Of course he's one of the best ever.

They stealing your Asians now? When Zabaleta scored, this happened: http://i.imgur.com/S0W6N.gif

Just watching the highlights from the derby again and just noticed when Rooney scores the opener and slides on the turf in front of some City fans, there's an Asian City fan (not Oldtype) frantically trying to get his camera ready to take a picture of us celebrating. Don't think I've ever seen that before.

Isn't the average wage significantly higher in Oz anyhow? My mate lives in Perth and has paid $42 for 3 beers before. Perth's the most expensive place to live in the world is what all the Aussie's I've met have told me. Perth is absolutely ridiculous. The average wage is higher but this is a friendly and it's over three times the price of a match ticket. We were in Australia before in '99 and I think whoever it was that got us over paid something like $3million. That was for two games though. I think this is only one. Probably still go.
-
It's not even that. Australia is trying to increase interest in football. Bringing one of, if not the biggest, club to your country is fantastic, but is completely counteracted when you then you go and price the majority of people out of a ticket.
-
Man United coming to Australia next year as part of their 2013 pre-season tour. Good tickets for the Sydney game cost $169 (110GBP). Absolutely ridiculous. It costs me less than 100 quid for return travel and a match ticket from Ireland. $169 for a pre-season game ffs.

Only bet alive from the weekend is three fold which needs Sunderland to win and has NUFC dnb.

What's the predictions for the derby today? I would be ecstatic if we managed to beat City, especially at their own ground, but expecting a really tough game. Anything except a loss will be a good result. Hoping Mancini plays Balotelli or Dzeko instead of Tevez, but that will probably come back to haunt me. Hoping for Fletcher to start but have a sneaky suspicion Fergie will go with Carrick and Scholes. Anderson would have been a certain starter if he was fit. Cleverley probably would have started as well but doesn't look to be ready in time. Valencia and Young on the wings with Rooney just behind RVP. Psyched for this.

First bet is incredible odds. Second one is shit odds.

Someone has a Torres bet up. On for a good haul whoever it was.
