  1. I'm not having a mare at all, and Mike didn't know what football was when Cantona was about. Plus he hasn't seen Toy Story. He can take his corndogs and fuck off.
  2. I sure he did and I'm sure he'd be good there but it's clear he's best as a #10. Januzaj may well be a kid, but it's clear he's a great player already. If you're good enough you're old enough. Rooney is a better player than Mata. If Rooney stays it's not worth the money. If Rooney goes, then by all means, please send Mata this way. Personal opinion and all that, I guess. I remember saying it. The ellipsis in my previous post was meant to represent that. Wait until Fletcher retires and you'll see. I could be in the minority but I don't think so. We absolutely love him. Cantonas ability was obviously unreal and that's mainly the reason he's held in such high regard, but he gained a lot of his popularity for his notorious behaviour. I mean, getting banned for 8 months for kicking a fan in the face is all well and good for a story, but it cost us the league that year IMO. The fact he came back the following season and essentially won the double for us means people forget about it. "When seagulls follow the trawler it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea." - Cool quote, and helps establish his eccentric character, but give me the hard-working, dedicated and loyal player who stays at your club for 20+ years any day to be honest. Even more so now after his determination and grit to come back from ulcerative colitis after a two-three year struggle.
  3. It's more about what the club means to a player as well. Fletcher is a true Manchester United player. One of those men who will never leave unless asked to. He's been with us since he was about 10 years old. Every Manchester United fan sees Fletcher as a legend. He means a hell of a lot more to me than Cantona does. And Januzaj will be a great player. I was speaking in potential terms...
  4. Aye, sticking a club legend on there is a bad way to sell shirts. Fletcher is a club legend now? Obertan must have had cult hero status at Man Utd. Don't think you realise just how long Fletcher has been about. He would start every game for us if he got his full fitness back. He's a very good player.

  7. Hasn't said. Stream just died too.
  8. American commentators are a fucking blast mind. Much better than listening to Paddy Crerand. Guy is the most biased man on planet Earth.
  9. Yank coverage of our game tonight.
  10. Wouldn't be surprised to see them bring in a couple of wonderkids from the academy next season.
  11. Qualifies as homegrown so I imagine that adds on quite a few million.
  12. 27m is the fee floating about for Schneiderlin as well.
  13. Evans will depending on further defensive signings. Young will not.
  14. Of course, it's always been that way as it's a heated rivalry that stems from a number of things outside of football. You'd be suprised at how many people from here that actually support England at major finals. It's the English media the Irish can't stand more than anything. You still have a lot of people with the "anyone but England" approach but most of us don't care. It would be hypocritical to shit all over the England national team if you're an English club supporter as well IMO.
  15. I hope it's baiting, 'cause there's been some really cringe-worthy comments on the last few pages.
  16. Aye probably. No Cole and Beardsley?
  17. I'd go for your choice as well to be honest. Especially since we were on the receiving end of said strikeforce in '09.
  18. They did score 70 odds goals in a treble winning season though to be fair.
  19. Where's the line between wumming and a bit of banter?
  20. I think a large part of that is due to how big the English league is. All teams try and prove a point.
  21. Mangala and Kompany man.

Three trophies and a CL runners up medal in the two years he was at Bayern. Poor them.
