Was a bit of a weird ending I thought. Like a party when no one knew when to leave. Would’ve been nice if one of the owners or EH/Trippier/Lascelles had been given a microphone for a few parting words allowing the fans to then have one final song and leave en masse. Was still buzzing in pub afterwards but felt apart from a win that was the only thing that I’d of changed on the night. Roll on Chelsea…

Think the Smart car was a myth wasn’t it? ? Pretty sure I saw him in something bigger on some interview. Think his days as our starting LB will be numbered next season but ideal to rotate as a CB and LB so definitely will make match day squads for a while yet. You forget how good he actually was playing CB the previous half season.

Not odd at all. He went both ways. Unpredictable. Hoping there’s a MK3 where the balance of unpredictability returns as I feel MK2 he’s trying too hard perhaps of fitting into team patterns.

Without wanting to derail the thread but couldn’t think of a better one to place it I asked @ponsaelius this morning if you could rewind the season back to Bruno’s Red Card and change that one event and replay the season from there would you chance it? So potential no loss of form for the team going into Cup Final and no loss off match fitness for Bruno himself. Might even prevent us playing like we did against Liverpool at home and no red card for Pope. However you take your chances with all the results we’ve had since then. Knowing we now need 1 point from last 2 games… (He struggled to decide for the record ?)

Well being old enough to recall being there when we played it last at SJP I’m pretty sure it lasts less than a minute so would be over before the players had finished shaking hands if he did play it lightheartedly ? The usual drill if anything like previous years including last year will be family and owners joining players for lap of honour and giant selfie at Gallowgate end so you’ll have plenty of time to show your appreciation unless you are planning on rushing off at the final whistle. It’s just a bit fun. Hardly tinpot or to be taken serious. I say this as someone who agrees post match music is too loud and at times the DJ should read the room/stadium/occasion. Lighten up a bit ?

Why would it ruin the night?

If nothing at stake there will be definitely a few changes you’d imagine but because our injuries have really piled up this month they will be limited. Targett and Manquillo possibly as Trippier currently doubtful for Leicester let alone Chelsea. Targett for man management reasons. Midfield you might have Bruno sent for ankle operation and Joelinton also not in great shape but we have no replacements with Willock out and Longstaff doubtful. If fit you’d of expected sentimental send offs for Ritchie and possibly even Lascelles but both out along with possibly Murphy and Longstaff.

What has EH said that makes you think he’s not? He always highlights what a special talent he is etc. When he’s fully fit he more often than not starts. Just been a stop start season fitness wise for him. It happens. If he was fit all season he’d of played the majority of it and the narrative is different.

Congratulations to Man City. Guessing they will rotate massively in last two league games with two finals to play so best get this in now… Who was it again on here who said they were incapable of putting a winning run together during Chelsea away match? ?
