Pope injured himself in training yesterday and going for a scan today.

As much as I defended his signing I’d advocate his sale if fee was close to optimal unless we see a great 2nd half of the season with him. Appreciate both things go hand in hand. Just feel a bit detached from him these days. Weird one to explain.

Less qualifying groups making them all stronger and therefore more jeopardy in a format where you will play half the group at home and half away. Feels like the majority of the England qualifiers in my lifetime have been more of a waste of time as the years have passed. The fact Sweden have a chance of qualifying despite being bottom of their group with a point is laughable.

Not finished but 75% done and spot on. The concourse area for the fans was lovely in its layout. East Stand not finished but operational which is where I stood. Agree wished Gateshead had something similar. Maybe something for them and NUFC ladies team.

Always said the Euro’s 2028 would pretty much confirm a new build due to the conflicting timescales as would only allow for minimal upgrades in a 2yr span. Two Stack events (last night for Euro28) and 27th with the latter being attended by Hopkinson might shed more light on things though.

So imagine how bad we would’ve coped if Hall in from the start with aerial bombardment. Burn cleared almost everything it felt. As for the penalty it wasn’t a penalty and therefore not a second yellow. Not sure what Howe can do about decisions like that?

Yep. Outside the box he needs to be either stronger to hold the ball up or quicker to react to the imperfect balls in and around him.

Probably a concern he’ll get physically bullied. Burns height to navigate their long throw tactics.

It’s the format that’s the problem as opposed to the novelty wearing off with regards to the occasion. As mentioned previously the match wasn’t the kind of game to help either. Literally no sustained pressure. When there was the crowd responded. I thought the switch worked ok… just wasn’t expecting it to hold up the KO so maybe needs an edit Didn’t help those who got the memo didn’t bring their scarfs mind……

You don’t NEED to be in town early. You’ve CHOSEN to be in town early I think you should buy a scarf whilst in town and redeem yourself!

What I would recommend going forward to you (and others doing similar) is to not rush to put ticket into wallet until you know you are definitely going to the game. Rather than add and remove.
