That draw against Birmingham must of been the Michael Owen friendly.

Neither could score for shit. I did say midfielder. I get the point you are making. I was referring more to passing sloppiness. Dyer was terrible when not under pressure. Always played passes at shin height instead of along the ground so a touch was always needed to control it when receiving it.
-
Dyer... FFS. He did that countless times. So annoying. If you could of merged him and Clark together you’d of had a great midfielder.

They’d just been promoted.

Ditto. We were battered first half iirc. Doesn’t look so bad first 15 or so minutes. I was in the away end with a couple of colleagues from Longbenton. Great day out, especially the second half and the bar afterwards for obvious reasons Just recall us being very poor that first half and them having 3-4 good chances with us creating very little.

This. Still a third of a mess of a season to go. Absolutely no rush to announce anything or to sack Bruce whilst season still ongoing. Who knows who will become available in time. Let’s start the new regime (hopefully) by acting with a bit class after 13 years of tackiness.

Giving this another try but can’t see me lasting past HT. Absolutely awful. What a time for us to be taken over

Does June 1st not make sense with records to contracts ending and transfer window re-opening? EPL wouldn’t want to put the new owners at a disadvantage albeit a small one with the way the season has panned out. I guess part of keeping it under wraps for so long is also to get us through lockdown a bit further without recklessly celebrating which is going to happen when confirmed you’d think.

Can’t access full article but I agree with wearing more eye catching socks and strips in general (if that’s the point it was making). Never understand why you’d spend millions trying to gain a 1% sporting advantage only to go and kit your team out in a green strip that blends in with the grass.

What was John Cross referring to about an announcement in the morning? (He reviews the next day’s back pages on Talksport)
-
Was thinking the same

In case you forgot you should still have John Richardson’s number I got for you a couple of year back. Maybe worth a cheeky text

I think the fact football isn’t as normal in the world right now and we can’t all party in town will subdue it somewhat. As for the forum I’m sure the Gif’s will not let us down ... bet Kasper[/member] is working on something right now

Is there anyone working at the club? Good point Thought with social media returning a little bit they might of had at least one person answering queries.
-
Has the club said anything at all regarding Man City cup game and Bournemouth away?
-
Yes. Why do you ask? Remember the scene when some of the locals are discussing what they are going to buy before their land has even been sold. The church scene was one of my favourites.

I was planning on spending more time/money at the FCC... Sticking with what I said earlier. Very overrated particularly at that price. Rather go for Willian on a Free for a couple of year with my Moneyball head on. I’ll let it slide saying you said Squad not Team

How Jagger and Richards got 100% royalties from (The) Verve over this song should give us all hope what lawyers are capable of if takeover gets knocked back. Pleased if surprised they returned them 22 years later to Ashcroft. Wasn't that version though Elfster, it was the Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra, then Stones manager version. It's on YouTube, but for some reason I don't seem to be able to post links on my phone at the moment. Yeah I know just always thought it was tyrannical that J&R got 100% song credit for it. Someone messed up at Verve’s end and didn’t get the orchestral version (sampled) authorised so when they approached the notorious Rolling Stones lawyers offering 50/50 thinking they were being more than generous they left the meeting with big fat 0! Was only when their lawyer died (iirc...or retired!) that Verve‘s people approached them again and walked away with full songwriting credit as J&R felt uneasy about it all these years apparently. On the downside with Ashcroft getting the money it means less incentive for him to get the Verve back together sadly.

I remember watching the '66 Final when that was shown on BBC once, the standard was dreadful compared to today. It’s awful isn’t it?! I honestly think a combination best of Red v Blue would’ve give England World Cup winning team a run for its money
-
It’s awful. It’s just reinforced my believe fans should be paid to attend matches as they bring that much to the whole package

Don’t think Zaha is all that personally. He’ll never move North either unless for the wrong reasons which isn’t really what you want to be looking for when building a new team.
