Who you classing as the top 6 and which of their CH’s?

Overall I’m not so sure on him defensively. He looks weak minded without the right partner and seems to become very indecisive leading to be erratic. He’s certainly not been in form for going on 18 month now also. Not sure what he does that Schar doesn’t. Judging him purely when up against us I’ve never found him to show himself in the best light for either Everton or Manchester City. I could see why Everton bought him and to a degree why Manchester City did but whether he has fulfilled that faith at either club is open to debate. I always think defenders usually improve as they age so he’s got that going for him I suppose.

Correct. SJH regime got the balance better than most though. They must’ve raked a fortune in but with the driving force of KK they were always aware it had to be fuelled regularly.

The club already has the plans made. Apologies as my legal and technical knowledge isn’t great but was told by someone in the know who deals with planning. They did them as a PR stunt it would seem as they were submitted to the club. The club then ask for some changes and they were able to bill them in full again with minor changes due to time lapse. This happened on more than one occasion to the delight of the architect. So when Ashley was offering up plans for the future he had no intention of doing anything with them but they should be there and available for someone else to use according to what I was told.

Will be a quiz on this occasion to test some software out (see above) but hopefully if takeover goes through next week we could do the Forum Takeover Talk following weekend or the night it goes through even!
-
Best years behind them. Certainly 2 of them. Hope we don’t go down that route.
-
Yeah but that’s missing the whole point. We are testing something out written by someone on the forum.

Basically from what I gathered it be more professional so there would be a video chat room with stuff like a timer to answer questions first so more opportunity for buzzer rounds and an onscreen scoring system. I think Think it be worth giving it a try and helping someone out on the forum at the same time. neesy111[/member] Optimistic Nut[/member] Yorkie[/member] Theregulars[/member] ponsaelius[/member] Ian W[/member] Sifu[/member] Interpolic[/member] Greg[/member] Disco[/member] Wullie[/member] ManDoon[/member] Wolfcastle[/member] Dr.Spaceman[/member] If it didn’t go ahead already (?) maybe Nut could host as his turn.

Strange one. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s been more of a driving force to finish the seasons than the actual football side.
-
It’s because it’s a team sport not an individual sport.

Of course they were. The Strawberry has never give a toss about the fight against Ashley.

Your memory fails you. It was all Newcastle first half and we lead 1-0. Poch had rested Llanana and he came on and turned the game but ended 1-1. Earlier that year we beat them 4-2 They spanked us 4-0 and beat us 2-0 the previous year down their place. That 4-2 was one of those games, you struggle to think how we scored 4 goals. We were worthy winners. It was French Day so atmosphere was buoyant. Remember wearing my Beret

Didn’t sit well with me that he was already waiting to return to Spurs for unfinished business. Rafa with a decent budget would be the sensible choice. Other two would be a gamble.

Cheers, I think we all need a big N.O party/get together after Ashley leaves, hopefully he’ll take Covid-19 with him. Agreed. Chili Padi so LFEE gets his fix. Sounds good to me

Just be patience. It happen? Always 10pm. When tomorrow’s papers come out online

Good watch. You can see why it’s taking so long to rubber stamp, global pandemic aside

Aye, a gun to his head this time, sort of. The fans not going would’ve created a big enough one for him.

George has been fairly obvious how he feels about this takeover. Not sure how people could say otherwise unless they just don’t simply know how to read. Don’t think anyone is saying otherwise. Where did you get the impression people did?
-
My one hope when “this” is all over is there is a greater appreciation and respect for match going supporters and how hollow the game actually is without them.

I guess it depends on your faith in our fan base. If I knew it was going to be people like yourself that don’t embarrass us in public then I doubt there would be any concerns. Certainly not in my mind. The devils advocate in me would suggest that it could turn out to be a bit of a car crash On a more serious note it’s dragging fans into politics and I’m not so sure that’s a good thing. Especially when our defence (including your own on Radio which I agreed with) is that we don’t have a say in who owns the club. I dont think the entire conversation is going to be based on human rights. I assume alot of it is going to be about what the local area could gain from a takeover too. I understand what you are saying and appreciate it. Some may argue that what is does or doesn’t do for the local area is also politics. It certainly isn’t about football. Why else would there be any need for the MP of Newcastle running it. Chi set up the event as the MP for Newcastle Central which incorporates Newcastle United within her constituency. She wants to understand fan opinion - she would usually do that by going around talking to people, e.g. on match days or hosting events in town (which she has done before on topical NUFC issues) but can't do any of that due to COVID19. Again I appreciate that but it’s what a politician does and highlights it further that it’s dragging NUFC into a political arena. If my local MP ever bothers to ask me my concerns I wouldn’t want it to be streamed live or reported it on by journalists. Let’s also being honest. Having a NUFC fan as an MP hasn’t really been any benefit to the club the previous several years. Anyway I hope it’s a success and my fears are unfounded and you personally knock it out the park like you usually do In short I’m just struggling to see what benefit any of this will be for fans of a football club. I can see some possible educational aspects gained by some (me included perhaps) but again they would only be political ones.
