As much as I prefer Almiron I disagree. With the pressure easing surely that will suite Murphy and his deficiencies in needing to relax and make better decisions. Give him a proper run in the team (this is his first since he was bought) and either keep or more likely sell or bench at best next season.

Can’t see how you’ve been misled after reading that link. Also there’s nothing been said to say they aren’t doing this. Since the new owners have arrived there hasn’t been a single season ticket. In fact the new owners via the NUST seemed to of made noises that ST’s won’t be sold on the normal first come first served basis so maybe something is in the pipeline with regards to those with proof of Loyalty Points given to the NUST. Have you asked them?

Sounds like Howe knew what he was doing with him all along ?
-
I’m sure I read that somewhere yesterday either on here somewhere or being discussed on SM. I know someone in the ticket section also queried the amount that was put on sale compared to allocation ?♂️
-
That’s why I’ve always wondered about it. Do other clubs charge extra per away ticket?
-
Which proves my point as it makes a mockery of the agreement made by all the clubs. I remember the year it came in, a lot of the clubs that used to charge £20-25 bumped their prices up to £30. Only games I gained at was Chelsea and Man Utd and maybe Spurs having to drop theirs.
-
But the ticket is £31 not £30. What’s stopping the club charging £5 or £10 booking fee to circumvent the £30 limit?
-
Disagree with that. Buying or attending home tickets for games marked for boycott lead to those kind of accusations. Not to away fans as £1 aside the majority of the money was going elsewhere.
-
I’ve always been curious about the legality of the £1 the club charges for away tickets that are already at the agreed legal limit of £30 which virtually every game is these days. On another point £20 is plenty should’ve been agreed with all the clubs. £30 is still a bit of a piss take as unnecessarily expensive. I think loyalty points for Home cup games and friendlies etc is a good idea to help newer fans build up their points.I speak as someone who has 160+ points from attending away games myself as well as helping friends or we’ll deserving fans occasionally with tickets. Slightly concerning the size of the chunk the club is now taking for the squad and more so it’s sponsors. Apparently 800 approx for Spurs away were held back.

Heard someone mention him on here.
-
And there you go… ?
-
Pressure from the Labour/opposition government. As long as RA can prove he’s not going to receive any money for the sale of the club they WILL allow him to sell the club. Can see it coming a mile off.
-
We’ll be fine but games that haven’t went on sale won’t have any away fans or home fans that don’t have season tickets.
-
Not that it matters now but he’s took 20 year off his lifespan ?
-
If he is missing chances I’ll criticise him. Like I’ve said before we aren’t creating anything for him. He’s literally had a couple of chances since he signed. His teammates seem to appreciate the job he’s doing along with the management. He was bought for a specific job for this season.

Don’t think Ralph said much wrong. Listen to his interview in context rather than half a sentence. Bit like we asked people to do regarding AS and her headline comments in her FT interview.

My dad always told me that he made us less of a soft touch and got us results that you’d expect against teams around and below us and stopped big defeats, so guessing a bit like Rafa. He also told Supermac that Gowling would score more goals than him which he did. Supermac used to love to make his mouth off at the press so wouldn’t be surprised if he was as cosy with Gibbo back then as he was now.

Gordon Lee has died. I think only my dad rated him in his time here. R.I.P.

Villa set the bar by how much they paid for what they think is a significant replacement. There was no way they could justify to any club that Targett was then worth more than what they paid for Digne. Fee was always going to be around £15m once they did that deal.
-
Agree with nearly all of this. The caveat I would add is we do need a squad which people seem to forget and for that reason I’d have no issue Almiron staying if he was happy to and to a lesser extent Hayden. Lewis is a strange one. Looked lightweight going forward and not switched on defensively. Looked better under Howe but the timing of his injury has been very unfortunate for his career here. Would probably give him another year here possibly to challenge Targett.

Not sure if the thread for this…
