That is quite clear, thanks. But did he mean to handle it? I would say no, therefore not a handball. Nobody will ever know. But what we can assume is that at some point he realised he wasn't getting anywhere near it, and possibly also knew it was heading in the direction of his hand. Doesn't need to deliberately handle it, just deliberately position his forearm in a manner that will ensure the ball moves towards the goal. If he moves his hand outta the way it hits his hip and goes who knows where. We do. In the net as it hit his hip after brushing his arm. If you think that goal should be disallowed you are following the wrong sport.

Agree with all this other than I didn’t rate his period under KK particularly that much. I always find that fans that are fans of Barton generally have very poor judgement when it comes to footballers and football as a whole

I preferred Guthrie TBH. Not much in it. Barton had half a good season in the 4 he had.
